Who's Eligible for the Hyatt Business Card Sign-Up Bonus?

You aren't eligible for the welcome bonus if you're a current cardholder or if you received a sign-up bonus on this same card in the previous 24 months. Chase says the following on the Hyatt Business Card application page:

“This new cardmember bonus offer is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of this business credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of this business credit card who received a new cardmember bonus for this business credit card within the last 24 months.”

In addition, as with all Chase cards, the Hyatt Business Card is subject to Chase’s 5/24 policy. If you’ve opened five or more credit cards that show up on your credit report in the past 24 months, you likely won't be approved for this card.

Extended Bonus Earning Opportunities

Hyatt and Chase have also announced the extension of a temporary benefit on the Hyatt Business Card card.

The card earns 2x points in your top three spending categories each quarter. That was supposed to end on December 31, 2023, dropping to the top two categories. However, this has been extended to December 31, 2024. Until then, you'll continue to earn 2x points in your top three categories, and then 2x in the top two categories starting on January 1, 2025.

Our Take

The new welcome bonus on the Hyatt Business Card has a two-tiered spending requirement that averages out to $2,000 per month over six months to earn up to 75,000 bonus points. However, you'll be able to bank a healthy pile of Hyatt points that AwardWallet users redeem at 2.19¢ each, on average.

Additional perks make holding the Hyatt Business Card worthwhile year after year. Those include automatic elite status, annual Hyatt spending credits, and the ability to unlock extra perks via spending, such as a points rebate and tier-qualifying night credits. Small business owners who stay with Hyatt even a few times of year could benefit from holding this card, and now would be a great time to apply.
