Since publishing, IHG extended this 15% award night promotion booking window from February 12 to February 14.
IHG has brought back its 15% award night discount for IHG cardholders and high-tier elites. This promotion is available for stays booked by February 14, 2025 and completed by April 6, 2025.
This promotion delivers on perks advertised in the IHG One Rewards relaunch in 2022 and is the ninth such discount we've seen. Last year, targeted cardholders received a 20% discount with a narrow booking window for select hotels in North America and the Caribbean, while another flash discount in April 2024 offered a flat 15% discount on stays of three or fewer nights — just like this promotion.

IHG 15% Reward Night Discount for Cardholders and Elites
IHG One Rewards regularly offers this promotion, though sometimes a limited list of participating hotels. Now through February 14, 2025, IHG cardholders get a 15% discount when booking reward nights at participating IHG hotels. IHG Platinum Elite and Diamond Elite members needed to wait a couple of days to take advantage of this offer, but this discount is now live for these elites as well.
All IHG cardholders should be eligible for this promotion, including the:
- IHG Select Card
- IHG One Rewards Traveler Card
- IHG One Rewards Premier Card
- IHG One Rewards Business Card
Note that this offer is not combinable with the fourth reward night free benefit. If you're planning on staying four nights, that's potentially a much better offer — as you'll get the fourth night completely for free, even if it's the most expensive night of your stay. As such, this promotion is only beneficial when booking three or fewer consecutive nights.

Key Terms of This IHG Reward Night Discount
- Receive a 15% reward night discount when booking IHG award nights on stays of three or fewer nights.
- Only valid on stays booked by February 14, 2025.

- For points bookings with the promotion, receive a 15% discount on the number of points required for an award night.
- Per the terms, when paying with Points & Cash, the 15% discount only applies to the cash portion of the booking. However, in practice, the points rate seems discounted instead.

IHG Reward Night Discount Promotion History
IHG One Rewards has offered a reward night discount for cardholders and elite members several times since October 2022. Below is the promotion's history:
- October 2022: 15% discount
- January 2023: 20% discount
- March–April 2023: 15% discount
- September 2023: 15% discount
- January 2024: 15% discount
- January–March 2024: 20% discount in Latin America and the Caribbean, Iberostar Resorts added
- April 2024: 15% discount on 3 or fewer nights.
- October 2024: 15% discount on 3 or fewer nights
- February 2025: 15% discount on 3 or fewer nights — now including Iberostar resorts

If you're not already an IHG cardholder, you won't be eligible for this round of discounts. But you can apply for an IHG card now so you're eligible the next time this offer comes around. Here are the current IHG card offers:

- 3X points per $1 spent on dining, utilities, select streaming services, and at gas stations
- 2X points per $1 spent on all other purchases

- Earn 2X points from IHG® with Silver Elite Status, a benefit of this Card
- Earn 10X points from IHG® for being an IHG® Rewards Club Member (Being a cardholder is not required to earn this bonus for participating in the IHG® loyalty program)
- Earn 26 points total per $1 spent when you stay at an IHG hotel
- 5X points per $1 spent on purchases on travel, gas stations, and restaurants
- 3X points per $1 spent on all other purchases

- Earn 10X points for being a IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card member
- Earn 6X points from IHG® with Platinum Elite Status, a benefit of having this card

- Earn 6X bonus points for having IHG®Platinum Elite Status, a benefit of having this card
- Earn 10X base points for being an IHG® One Rewards Member (Being a cardholder is not required to earn this bonus for participating in the IHG® loyalty program)
Our Take
It's nice to see IHG bring back this 15% off promotion yet again. However, it's not around for long! You'll need to book by the end of day February 14, 2025 for stays in the next couple of months.
Remember that this promotion is only available for stays of three nights or less. IHG cobranded cardholders will save more by booking a fourth night and unlocking the IHG fourth night free perk. That discount should save you even more on a four-night stay — and there are no limitations on when you can book or complete your stay.
Keep in mind that IHG also offers a recurring 15% discount at new hotels. The current list has a whopping 195 eligible properties!
