90,000-Point Ink Preferred Sign-up Bonus

The Ink Preferred is offering new applicants 90,000 bonus points after you spend $8,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.. That's a sizable bonus attached to a card with a $95 annual fee.

This 90,000-point offer falls just below the card's long-running 100K Ultimate Rewards points sign-up bonus. But that doesn't mean the Ink Preferred‘s current welcome offer is worth overlooking.

What is the Ink Preferred 90K welcome offer worth?

If you guessed 90,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards were worth a lot, you'd be right. There are three primary ways you can redeem your stack of points.

  • Pay with points through Chase Travel℠. When redeemed this way, your Ultimate Rewards points are worth 1.25 cents apiece. That makes your 90,000-point sign-up bonus worth $1,125.
  • Get cash back. If you elect to cash out, your points are worth 1 cent apiece, making 90,000 worth $900 in cash back.
  • Transfer points to 14 airline and hotel transfer partners. When maximized through Chase's 14 airline and hotel transfer partners, Chase points are worth an average of 1.94¢ apiece. That makes 90,000 points worth more than $1,600 toward award travel.

Of the three options, the $1,600+ number stands out. It's worth getting familiar with Chase's transfer partners; it's the key to stretching your Ink Preferred sign-up bonus the farthest.

Application restrictions

First things first: You need a small business to open a business card. Luckily, it doesn't take much to qualify. Learn more about qualifying for a business card with your Etsy store, reselling on eBay, or a side hustle with freelance work. There is also no restriction on applying for this card and receiving the sign-up bonus while being a cardholder of other Ink Business cards.

As with all Chase cards, you will not be approved if you've opened five or more personal cards from any bank in the last 24 months. Business cards do not count against this number; however, you must be under 5/24 to get approved for a business card. Learn more about Chase's unwritten 5/24 rule.

Why Should You Get the Ink Preferred?
