Marriott is running a few promotions right now. While there's currently no global Marriott Bonvoy promotion, many Bonvoy members are seeing targeted promotions. Plus, numerous regional offers give travelers the chance to earn quite a few points in specific countries, cities, or sometimes even just one hotel. Here's a roundup of the latest offers from Marriott.

Double Elite Nights Promotion

Marriott Double Elite Nights Promo

Some members are seeing a promotion to earn double elite night credits, just like the Q1 global promotion that just ended. End dates differ, and not everyone is seeing this promotion, so check your emails or the promotions page in your account.

General Terms and Conditions for Marriott Promotions

  • Promotions either require registration or a promotional code when booking.
  • There are usually a limited number of rooms for each promotion.
  • Blackout dates exist at some properties, including for special events.
  • Some promotions can't be claimed if members have elected to earn miles instead of points.
  • Unless otherwise stated, promotions can't be combined with other offers.

Marriott Homes and Villas Promotions

Marriott Homes and Villas is a separate platform that regularly offers its own promotions to earn Marriott Bonvoy points. Check our separate page for Marriott Homes and Villas promotions to see if any are currently running.

Other Bonvoy Earning Opportunities

Fans of Marriott Bonvoy have numerous opportunities to earn points, including from co-branded credit cards. Specifically, we're seeing some great sign-up bonuses on Marriott Bonvoy credit cards.

Bottom Line

These promotions are regional, and some are targeted, meaning not everyone will be eligible for certain deals. However, these offers still can provide Marriott Bonvoy members some good discounts or a fair amount of bonus points.

Just don't forget to register or use the required promotional code. With these and other hotel program promotions, you should be able to earn extra or save money on your next hotel stay.

  • juan franchini says:

me parece una buena promoción, la voy a tener en cuenta para mi proximo viaje.

  • I sure hope I get targeted for this promo! I haven’t seen anything yet, but hoping.

  • The 50% off on the 2nd room for international stays is in my Marriott promo area.
The 2X bonus points offers are not. But I have participated in the past 2X offers on practically all my Marriott and Hilton brand family stays. And Hilton has offered (for a $5-$10 upcharge) an ADDITIONAL 2X bonus points on at least 50% of my stays with them since the covid-19 pandemic, including at the Doubletree I am writing this comment from! Gotta love that points earning stacking!
But there are a BUNCH of 5,000 or 10,000 or 15,000 or even 20,000 bonus point offers for multi-night stays at a variety of specific Marriott brand family hotels, and/or specific regions (e.g. Caribbean).
FWIW my approach to hotels is to shop around for the best overall deal, so the only elite status I have is Gold with Marriott and Hilton from my AMX Platinum. (although I qualified for Hilton :Diamond this year due to reduced pandemic requirements). So I think the hotel companies are trying various promos to increase my “engagement” with their networks.
I feel like I typically come out ahead by my “free agent” approach relative to people with “Elite” status with hotels and airlines.

  • My app shows an offer for “Make a Brand New Bucket List – earn up to 4,000 points on each eligible stay” but it won’t let me register. I’m Gold working on Platinum, so a relatively frequent traveler (mostly personal). Bummer!

    • Keep trying! You should be able to register for this new promotion. But there might be some hiccups as it just launched this week.

  • What gives? I have never received any of the promotions you mention frequently on this site. If you don’t have any “official idea” about what drives these promotions, do you have any qualified opinions about what kind of things provoke the promotions? This is crazy. I’m Titanium this year and usually Platinum. Yet I’ve never seen anything.

    • Well, I think Marriott wants to use these to push members who haven’t engaged as much with the program – or that Marriott wants to push to do more. I got the double elite night credits as a Titanium Elite. But I already have 73 ENC, so it’s not going to help me (since I won’t have anywhere near $20k spend)

  • Daniel Leiva says:

Zero promotions. What a bummer. I’m looking to drop my old AMEX Bonvoy card before the next annual fee hits.

  • Well, as a Marriott Rewards member for over 10 years now with over 500 lifetime nights (all personal), and a current Titanium Member, I have never once received any of these targeted promotions.

  • Lucas Villarreal says:

In October I will travel around Europe, I will go for the discount for the second room, excellent information. Marriott hotels have always provided excellent service.

  • William Blankenship says:

    Thanks I am signing up.

  • I wish the comments from previous campaigns are archived so that only the current and relevant content is visible. In any case, I logged in and checked my Promo Central and see that there are no promos! I guess being LT Plat, they don’t see value in me anymore.

  • Thanks! Had trouble signing up for the Make Every Night count promo but messaged Marriott and was signed up shortly afterward. Checked my account but no targeted offers for me.

  • I tried to register for the double elite nights promo and i get an error when i login to my account. seems like that promo is also targeted or that its not active for all members

  • There is another targeted promo, too, that came out back in December: “Registered Members can earn 7,500 bonus points after their first (1st) eligible paid stay and 15,000 bonus points after their second (2nd) eligible paid stay, for a maximum of 22,500 bonus points during the promotion’s earning period thru 2.28.22”

  • oops. did not get either of these. may be next time.

  • I always sign up for any possible offer. I’m currently staying in a Marriott property that was unplanned. I hope that I qualify for some extra points because I sign up for every offer out there.

  • Is the promotion (highly) targeted? Many who have commented could not register for the offer?

  • Courtyard stays aren’t that exciting. Slightly better than Holiday inn — and no good upgraded rooms to pursue. 2k point bonus isn’t making me want to book a Courtyard stay.

  • I love these promotions, it helps offset the cost of my hotel stays.

  • Marriott throwing around bonus points right now, not that I’m complaining!

  • Looks like none of the hotels I was looking at on Maui are included, oh well!

  • Just caught the deadline to register. Thanks.

  • Like some other commenters here…not impressed at all. Sigh…better luck next time???

  • Weirdly didn’t work for my or OH’s account, not eligible?

  • Bummer that only the first stay is eligible for the 2000 bonus points.

  • Interesting. I think I missed this since I am unable to register for it or maybe I do not qual to register. I am not really looking to build Marriott points right now anyway.

  • I better check then if I got one of the better offers on this.

  • Hopefully, there will be more promotions when transatlantic travel is made possible finally.

  • It would be perfect if the point giveaways would return too.

  • Meh! At least Marriott’s still in the game giving promos, though, as all of its competitors are.

  • I usually find these Week of Wonders to be underwhelming but there are a few good offers here. It’s irritating that the stay has to be booked after registering to get the extra points. I have one coming up next week. I might just cancel and rebook if I can still get the rate I need.

  • Surprising that I was not targeted, I have my preference set to earning points.

  • I am hoping for a return of the ‘double your nights’ promo where you earn 2 nights towards status for each night stayed. Getting to platinum this year is going to be a stretch so that would make a big difference. Anyone have insights on when Marriott offers these based on past patterns?

  • I travel frecuently for work and I ussually stay at the Marriott, because they have very nice and confortable facilities. Also good price-quality relationship.

Found out about this promo was verte usefull to earn some extra Bonvoy points!

  • Hotel bonus points are coming out left and right. Starting to blur up on what’s available. Those are who still able to travel for work are very fortunate (or unfortunate, I guess for some) at being able to rack up these bonus points in a hurry!

  • Oddly several of our family’s accounts aren’t eligible for the primary promotion.

  • I am not too in love with getting any status with Marriott but getting bonus points to use is always nice. I would like to eventually use them for a nice birthday trip for me.

  • lance kirkbride says:

Thanks for the information will look into it.

  • THank you for this blog post and useful information for the Marriott registration promo. I’m hoping to travel and will probably be staying at some Marriotts.

  • When booking a hotel, I try to consider a number of factors such as price, comparable amenities and proximity to where I’m going, before selecting a specific hotel. All things being equal, the bonus might prompt me to select Marriott over a competing brand, but it would not be the only consideration.

  • Great promotion from Marriott and nice bonus for all inclusives.

  • Nice bonus from Marriott if you’re traveling already any way, but not enough to stimulate new demand unfortunately. It will be interesting to watch how the hotel chains counter the drop in demand due to the resurgence of the pandemic.

  • I am sure that these are the promotions targeting the Delta variant outbreak.

  • I have to be honest and say that this is very uninspiring. It’s hard to believe this would change anyone’s stay intentions towards Marriott.

  • Not a super impressive promo but I guess still better than nothing

  • Not a great value and certainly won’t go out of my way to book with Marriott, but obviously will take what I can get.

  • I’ve been targeted for promotions before but not this time. The 1500 points per stay incentivizes single night stays so I’ll be splitting up my next stay between Hiltons and Marriotts. Luckily they are next door to each other.

  • Adrian Romano says:

I´m from Argentina and planning to travel abroad shortly. I´m targeted for this promotion ! I love Marriott, it´s one of my favourite hotels, together with Iberostar from Spain.

  • Juan Manuel Villa says:

I use my marriot Bonvoy points to get AADVANTAGE miles!!!

  • This time it’s fit my plans. 3-weekslong trip in October. Change of place every 2-3 days. Very nice, though it could have been better.

  • Just in time for my nest Marryott stay, thank you for this information

  • I am planning a stay at a Marriott in October. Hoping I can get the bonus points.

  • Its always a good idea to sign up for all promotions, never know when you will need them.

  • This bonus offer does not get me excited at all.

  • Nothing for me either

  • Andy Jeffery says:

I rarely am targeted. I do spend a lot (mostly business travel) with Marriott. No CC. Wonder if that is a factor

  • 4500 points on the way after some upcoming stays…not overwhelming, but appreciated nevertheless.

  • Nope. Still can’t seem to wake the sleeping giant. frustrating!

  • Alejandro Massri says:

I live in Argentina and I was not targeted, I hope Marriot could start targeting LatAm customers as well!.

  • Once again – Marriott has offered me nothing.

  • This time I´m targeted, thanks you Award Wallet & Marriot

  • Double points is good, but I was surprised with the double elite night credits. That’s pretty good. It’s too bad so many good promos when it’s so difficult to travel. This is the year for mattress running.

  • Hi! I am new to this page and already loved it! Thanks!

  • This is strange… for some reason I’m not allowed to sign up for the promotion. Anyone else getting this?

  • If you have one of the Amex Bonvoy cards, there is a good likelyhood that you will also have the $50 off 200 Amex offer on Marriott stays, which can sweeten this deal even more

  • Marriott is having some good promos lately. I am still skeptical about how Marriott handles elite benefits. I do like a lot of their higher tier hotels. I have noticed Hilton has added a few hotels that I want to try out and I have more points with Hilton than Marriott. What do you think of the new hotels the companies are bringing in and does it change who you’ll be more loyal with?

  • Great promo from Marriott, similar to what Hilton offered in the last quarter of last year

  • FYI – Regarding this restriction – “This promotion applies to paid stays only, not award stays.” – Frequent Miler has confirmed with Marriott that you can get credit for award night(s) if combined with at least one paid night in your stay. See his blog for full details.

  • I’ve registered and my next two night stay will put me over the top for Titanium again this year. Interesting timing on starting the promotion— they maybe waited until after Valentine’s Day? I actually have a hotel stay that was just shy of the starting date of this promo; too bad Marriott, that stay will be in a Hilton!

  • If you can get 20% back, that’s a fairly decent return these days and worth looking into.

  • Gustavo Krasñansky says:

Se trata de un programa de fisaluzacion segun entiendo. Solo para hoteleria? No da millas?
Es decir, no tiene convenios con aerolíneas?

  • austin hermes says:

Looks like I’m signing up for a Bonvoy account! Thanks!

  • Samantha Roberts says:

I did get a promotion that offered up to 18000 points for 3 separate stays that have to include a weekend night. ( Friday or saturday)

I do have a question though. They label “stay” as 1 or more consecutive nights.

Does that mean it can just be a one. Ugh that stay somewhere? Or does it still have to be at least 2 nights?

    • If it says “stay”, that usually only means one night! However, if you book back-to-back nights at the same hotel as two bookings, it will only count as one stay. But, as long as you don’t do that, you can easily book just one-night stays.

    • Depending on your plans, I’ve been in that scenario before and literally gone from Hotel A, to Hotel B (same brand) right down the road for night 2, then back to Hotel A for night 3.

  • Unfortunately, only promotion was for extra points using the card on Amazon. Maybe next time, better offers (smile).

  • Getting no bonus promotion this time. Am I Bonvoyed? 😉

  • I find the marriott promos to be the least innovative and least rewarding of all the hotel promos out there. I prefer the IHG or the Hilton promos.

    • I agree. I stayed for the weekend in a property of the Marriot group (Sheraton Buenos Aires) and I was disappointed. Breakfast is continental (like in a 3-star hotel) and not American.

  • Although it’s not a universal promotion for every member, it still provides a certain opportunity to potentially contributing members or elite ones. Comparing to the usual promotion, however, it would be nice if all members can have the motivation not only to contribute more but also have a staycation in these troubled times. It’s definitely a win-win.

  • Great promo. My wife got 2 free night certificates for 2 paid nights which we plan anyway in Playa del Carmen next February.

  • Thanks for the heads up! I opened my app to see I have been targeted for 18k bonus points after three stays. 3 K after the first stay, 6k after the second stay and 9 k after the third stay! I guess I’m going to be moving around each night on the first work trip of the new year.

Luckily I’ll be in a location where I can easily stay a three different Marriotts during a 3 day trip.

  • Hopefully a nights based stay next time to help me keep platinum next year…

  • Drives me crazy when they have these promotions and great deals at a time when I’m not traveling.

  • While this is a decent promo, i was kind of hoping that after this promo ends, they would come up with some “nights” based promo instead of stay based.

The overall bonus becomes pretty diluted even with a 2+ night stay.

  • I like it when they extend the promotions without making you reregister. I wish they would just apply all promotions to all accounts which are eligible without having to register for them. It is frustrating when you miss something and time consuming to keep up on all of them.

  • Monica Samezuk says:

Only global promotions for me. Chase offers and Amex ones are only for us and Canadian. Residentes . Marriott, as a global company should take into account those who have no access to any credit card and offer a different type of promotion as a recognition of loyalty

    • Yes, I feel your pain not having access to the world of credit card offers. You’re cut off from a lot, but I’m just not sure what would replace those offers. At least you are eligible for the first highlighted stay-related promotion above.

  • Excellent, also marriot bonvoy has also extended the expiration of your status as a member by one year due to the covid situation, which seems very successful and is what the airlines should do with the expiration of miles.

  • I love points promotions. I frequently travel to countries in Africa and Asia where there are forex restrictions and few elites, so beautiful hotels tend to offer low point redemption rates. I average about 2.5 cents per point, occasionally as much as 5 cents. I never redeem for less than 1.4 cents, ever.

  • Even though I don’t know if I can benefit of this promo I have registered.
In case I don’t have to do anything and I don’t risk of forgot.

  • I am short of some points for my next stay in marriott, will think of this card.

  • Awesome! It’s give me a big active to stay at Marriott Hotel. 5000 marriott point can be redeem a Cat 1 level hotel . Thanks this good info.

  • I finally (after 5 months) have an upcoming 1-night stay. A little bonus is better than no bonus!

  • My issue is that, while I appreciate the promo, most travel has pretty much halted. I’ve wanted to do a few staycations, just to get out of the house, but apparently no one told the hotels that no one is staying there because their rates are just as expensive as pre-corona. If they are hurting for business so much, I don’t understand why the rates don’t follow suit.

  • It’s really a wonderful promo at Marriott Bonvoy, I’d like to upgrade my wife’s account to Platinum memeber at Marriott. so that we can take my family to have great trip.

  • Great promo. Just when I’m thinking about getting out of London for a quick weekend away somewhere.

  • If you are planning to stay at Marriott soon sign up for this one. Free additional points are free additional points.

  • I like that they’re trying, but I really wonder how much incremental business this will drive. It might be a tie breaker between one hotel and another, but I doubt anyone who’s hesitant to travel in the current environment is now going to because of a few thousand points.

    • That’s true but I think they feel they have to compete. If they didn’t offer anything they kind of would seem less tempting than e.g Hilton.

  • Registered for it. I believe what you have said before, to register for whatever promo just in case. Especially these days you just do not know what will be going on. I have been seeing more and more Marriott where I am going but I have heard such annoying things about any elite status benefits not being honored, etc. It makes me not want to try and earn anything with them besides from a credit card elite status.

  • They should make the promotion valid for the remainder of 2020.

  • Fernando Tordera says:

Hi, just booked in a hotel 5 days ago and I saw this promotion today (our stay will start next Tue 18th).

Am I still eligible? I registered the promo already, though booking was prepaid and done days before

    Thanks a lot

    Fernando

  • Farid Kassam says:

Good offer. However, I will take a pass due to pandemic.

  • Signing up all accounts even though not sure we will be traveling. However, some accounts it lets register. Others it doesn’t.

  • I wish I could say that registration only took a couple of seconds. Despite the fact that this promotion is supposed to be open to everyone, I got an error message. I think I am going to have to call to register. However, it will be worth it as I have several short stays coming up.

  • Probably not enough to make me book Marriot but a nice perk nonetheless

  • This is a nice promotion from Marriott. It’s great to see bonuses for just one stay.

  • Not sure how often we’ll be staying at a Marriott property during this time frame, but it’s certainly worth a look at to register.

  • Wow they are really working hard to get people back!

  • I love getting bonus Marriott points though I don’t really have any travel plans coming up and I wish they’d do a double elite qualifying night promotion
