Citibank consistently offers cards that offer cardholders great perks and rewards. With one of their latest offerings, the AT&T Access More Card from Citi can help you receive a new cell phone and huge rewards for online purchases. If this sounds like something that would appeal to you, read on to find out the details!

Receive a Free Phone

Certainly one of the most attractive features of the Citi AT&T Access More card is that it allows cardholders to receive a free phone from AT&T. It’s pretty easy to get your new phone, and you won’t have to wait too long. All you have to do is spend $2,000 during the first three months of having the card, and you will get a free phone from AT&T.

In order to take advantage of this benefit, after spending the $2,000 to qualify for the new phone, you will receive a referral link that is individualized just for you. Purchase a new phone from AT&T, at full price, using your Citi AT&T Access More card (with a price of up to $650, not including taxes and fees) and you will receive a credit from Citibank for the amount you spent on the phone after you activate the phone and keep the account with AT&T for at least 15 days. There are no annual contracts required, and you will receive your new phone quickly!

Receive Big Rewards

While receiving a free phone after spending a pretty reasonable amount in the first three months is a big perk, there are other rewards that many find very attractive.

The Citi ThankYou Rewards program allows you to receive three points for every dollar spent on online retail and travel purchases and three points on any purchases made from AT&T. You will receive one point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.

You will also receive a 10,000 ThankYou Rewards points bonus on your account anniversary date if you have spent $10,000 during the card membership year. For those who use the card for everyday purchases, this requires less than $1,000 spending per month. If you are a frequent online shopper, you can see how the ThankYou Rewards points would add up very quickly!

Annual Fee and APR

The Citi AT&T Access More card does have an annual fee of $95, but this is quickly recovered when you qualify for the new phone from AT&T. This card does offer 0% introductory APR for 7 months for any AT&T purchases.

Redeeming Your ThankYou Rewards Points

After you get your free phone from the AT&T Access More Card from Citi, you might be wondering what you can do with all of those points you are building up. Luckily, the redemption process is quite simple. The ThankYou rewards program allows you to redeem your points in several ways.

One of the best ways to get value out of your ThankYou points is by using them for travel rewards, at a rate of one cent per point when you book your travel reservations through the Citi Travel Center. You can receive even more value when you book travel through one of their nine travel partners. If you are not a frequent traveler, then you have other options, such as gift cards for dining and merchandise, statement credits, or even using your ThankYou points to pay off your student loans or mortgage. For 2,500 points, you can make a payment on your loans for $25.

If you are in the market for a new phone, and you happen to prefer AT&T, then this card is perfect for you. Also, if you are a frequent online shopper, you will find that building up a lot of points is very easy! If you are looking for a card that offers terrific travel rewards or a high point-to-reward value, or if you do not regularly shop online, then there are other cards out there that may be more suitable for your needs.

Update: This card has been discontinued by the card issuer and is no longer accepting new applications. If you are lucky enough to be a current cardholder you can still enjoy all the benefits of this card. For other great card offers, check out the AwardWallet Hot Deals page.
