Qantas Frequent Flyer just brought back its promotion offering double status credits or double points. It's a very short promotion requiring registration and booking by March 28, 2023. So you'll need to book fast. Unlike last year's version, all Qantas Frequent Flyer members should be able to take advantage of this offer this time. Here's how you can take advantage of this lucrative promotion for Qantas flights.

Get Double Status Credits or Double Qantas Points

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can elect to receive either double status credits or double Qantas points for all flights booked before March 28, 2023. Qualifying flights must take place between March 29, 2023, and February 28, 2024.

Each member booking a ticket must register for this promotion before booking their flight. The bonus category selected can be changed before the end of the promotion on March 28. Thereafter, you will receive the same reward for all applicable flights, based on whatever you select by the deadline.

Terms and Conditions

  • Registration and booking end March 28, 2023.
  • Eligible flights are from March 29, 2023, to February 28, 2024.
  • This promotion doesn't state that you must have an Australian address registered to the account. So any Frequent Flyer member worldwide should be eligible.
  • Any flight with a QF flight number booked before March 28, 2023 is eligible for this promotion — as long as the flight would otherwise earn status credits and/or points.
  • All flights booked during the promotion period will have the same reward bonus applied to them. The last chosen reward preference by midnight on March 28, 2023, will be applied.
  • Double status credits or double Qantas Points will be applied to your account within 8 weeks of your flight.
  • Bonus status credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward, or Status Accelerator/Challenge earn requirements.
  • Flights can be booked via the Qantas website, a travel agent, or Qantas Contact Centres. Fees and charges may apply.
  • “Book now, pay later” and flight credit bookings are eligible for this promotion.

If you elect to receive double Qantas Points, remember that these points will expire if you have no activity in your Frequent Flyer account for 18 months.

Our Take

Qantas Flights from LAX.png

This is a great promotion for Frequent Flyer members to boost their status credits or Qantas Points with double earnings. Seemingly all members should be able to use the offer, not just those with an Australian address on their account.

One-way domestic flights can be booked for as little as $115 AUD ($75 USD), and a round-trip ticket from Los Angeles to Australia costs as little as $1,761 USD. Not surprisingly, flight prices have gone up quite a bit since last year's promotion.

If you're a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, this is a promotion you'll probably want to take advantage of. Just remember to register and book by March 28, 2023.
