Starwood is continuing it's big push to retain members following the final merger approval with Marriott, with a new second-quarter promo landing in SPG members inbox's last week.
The SPG Triple Up program opens for registration on May 3, 2016, and eligible stays between May 9 and July 31, 2016, will earn as high as 3X bonus Starpoints.
Opening right on the heels of Starwood's first-quarter Take Two promotion, which offered 2X Starpoints at any Starwood property worldwide. SPG Triple Up offers three different but complimentary ways to earn extra Starpoints.
- 3x Starpoints at Sheraton® Hotels and Resorts
- 2x Starpoints at all other brands
- An extra 1,000 Starpoints for stays that include a Friday or Saturday night (Thursday or Friday in the Middle East)

Triple Up is a sharp promotion from SPG. On top of the targeted offerings we covered a couple of weeks ago and the two bonus Delta SkyMiles per dollar spent in the U.S. or Canada, you could earn as high as 8 Starpoints per dollar spent at the Sheraton, depending on your elite status.
The main thing to keep in mind for this promotion is that it is a minimum two-night stay. If you are planning one-night stays, you are better off sticking with Hyatt's Stay More Play More as you will receive no bonus for one night stays with the Triple Up promo.
Starwood has included more participating hotels than we have seen in past promotions which should make it easier to find a hotel taking part in the deal, you can see the full list.
