Most high-end credit cards offer some great additional perks along with the usual points and complimentary status memberships of other programs. Programs like Delta’s SkyMiles Experiences offers great events and promotions to their members. A hotel program with great benefits with events is the SPG Moments. Most programs offer a large variety of events from culinary and entertainment to sports and music.

One of the best is the Chase Events program, which is linked to the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve®. Both cards offer an extensive list of perks and benefits to cardholders; one of the best perks available to cardholders being the numerous Chase events put on by the company. Cardholders need to stay up to date with these events to maximize the use and benefits from their cards.

To stay current with Chase’s events there are several steps that you should take. First, your Inbox; Chase will email cardholders about upcoming events and features.

The second method cardholders should use to keep up to date with Chase’s events, and offers is to regularly check up on the company’s website. If you don’t have the time to keep checking the site, there are several tools out there that can help you. Try ChangeDetection.com, a site that will email you whenever there is an update to the Chase Events web page.

For those who are regular users of RSS feeds, there are several apps and sites that will let you create an RSS feed for the Chase Events web page, which will notify you on your mobile/computer whenever there is a new addition to the page.

The final option for card members is to monitor the individual events; due to timing differences, this can give you a head start, since they may be updated before the main Chase Events site. Overall, the Chase Events program offers some great packages to some of the most sought-after events such as the Emmy Awards and Sundance Film Festival. It is well worth it for card members to stay ahead of the curve and get the most out of their membership.

AwardWallet Tip of The Day
You can choose to store all of your loyalty account passwords locally on your device, instead of storing them in our secure database. If you choose this option, you can (and should) periodically back them up into a file. In the event that you delete your cookies, these passwords will be deleted. With a proper backup, you'd be able to safely restore from that backup file.

  • Whenever I get an email about a Chase event it is out of my price range. It was mentioned at the end of the article — ‘users of RSS feeds’. Hate to shout out my ignorance, but I don’t know what a RSS feed is?

    • RSS = Really Simply Syndication. It is a way to view news/articles through a subscription of an RSS feed, where when an article is published the RSS feed is updated, and your RSS reader pulls the updated information. Saves you from having to go out and see if there is any updated articles.

  • I really do love my Chase freedom card. I haven’t yet gotten the Sapphire card but keep on top of promos for it. I love knowing that there are Chase events! I loved the idea of just being able to transfer points between my freedom and sapphire and now there are events?! Just awesome! Thanks for giving me the heads up on this! I’m sure they let people know of benefits but it’s better to have reminders every now and then.

  • Thanks, good to know. A slight correction to the article — the change detection website is changedetection.com (not changedirection.com).

  • Thanks for this! Will be using this.

  • That’s a good tip. I hardly ever check their page.

  • I would really like to see them offer some kind of perk or lounge for cardholders at SXSW.

  • thanks for the great info!

  • I have never really been able to go to a Chase event either because of location or price but good to have a central way of tracking them just in case the opportunity ever comes…
