Visa Infinite cardholders can now claim 3 free years of Shipt membership when signing up at Shipt. This applies to any Visa Infinite card, including the following:

If you only have a Visa Signature card, you can still get 3 months of free Shipt membership and then 50% off another 9 months of membership. Some of the Visa Signature cards with this benefit are as follows:

Even basic Visa credit cards are eligible for 1 month of free Shipt membership. After that, you'll get 50% off for another 3 months.

Visa cardholders need to enroll by December 31, 2024. No memberships can extend beyond December 31, 2025. So, if you're a Visa Infinite cardholder, you could wait until December 31, 2022 to enroll if you don't find any use in the membership before then.

Your free Shipt membership is just one of the benefits just added to Visa Infinite and Signature cards. You can claim other benefits with Sofar Sounds, Skillshare, and NortonLifeLock. Check out the complete list of benefits and how to apply on the Visa website.

Our Take

Shipt isn't the delivery provider for everyone. Unlike other programs (Doordash, Instacart, Postmates, Uber Eats, etc.), Shipt requires you to pay for a monthly or annual membership. If you don't purchase enough each month, it can be hard to justify the membership. However, if you have a Visa Infinite or Signature card, you won't have to worry about the membership costs (at least for 3 years or 3 months, respectively). You can enjoy the benefits of the delivery program.

I haven't used Shipt, so I can't vouch for how the program holds up against the other delivery services. If you're already using it and are an aforementioned cardholder, you'll probably want to take advantage of your free membership. And if you're going to give it a try, now's your chance. Just make sure to set a reminder to cancel your membership or pay when your free months or years are up.

  • A 3 yeras of free membership is an excellent promotion for taking advantage of it

  • I went ahead and signed up with my Chase Sapphire Reserve bc I’m going to downgrade the card next week to apply for the CSP bonus card. It isn’t offered in my area yet but it was surprisingly offered in my Mom’s zip code and address which doesn’t have Door Dash, Instacart or anything else except Walmart grocery delivery so I’m happy I can send her things in a pinch and it allowed me to go ahead and set up the 3 free years account now so hopefully it will be soon in my area. I’m in a small town but we actually have a pretty good selection on Insta but after the half priced year subscription from Chase last year expired this month, I canceled my membership. I can’t see spending the extra $100 a year on it bc they add fees on top of it. Hopefully this will work here soon. Thanks for the heads up….just wondering why Chase didn’t send an email about it?

  • Great idea VISA! Its a Win-Win business for all (VISA, Shipt company and consumers).

  • I’ve never used Shipt and this offer isn’t enticing me to start using them. If you are eligible for the three year free trial, then it may be worth signing up though.

  • Wonder if authorized user are eligible for this offer

  • If you have one of these premium cards and need some shopping done in a pinch, Shipt works ok, but they sometimes raise the prices on the items even while charging you a subscription fee.

  • If I have several Visa Signature cards, can I sign up for multiple consecutive memberships, three months at a time with each card?

    • I don’t think so. Eligibility for Offer is limited to one per person per Shipt account, and per eligible Visa card. (T&C here)
So possibly if you have other family members do subsequent free trials, but I think this will only work 1x in your name. Let us know what you find out.

  • It would be so much better for all to give the topic written about, to one of your staffers that has or currently uses it. Reconstituting the press release doesn’t help.

  • Shipt is closely allied with Target, so if you buy groceries at Target, it absolutely comes in handy.
