Offers for the JetBlue Plus Card and Southwest
The Breeze Easy™
While it may not be a luxury travel card, it still offers solid travel perks worth knowing about. Personally, I love the complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi perk, which could offset the annual fee if you fly Breeze enough. Here are all the details you need to know about the Breeze Easy Visa Card.
Breeze Easy Visa Card Pros
- Up to 10X BreezePoints on Nicer and Nicest Bundles
- Zone 1 priority boarding for you and companions on the same reservation
- Complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi on Breeze-operated flights
- No points expiration while the card is open
- No foreign transaction fees
Breeze Easy Visa Card Cons
- No free checked bag or carry-on bag perk
- No network partners for partner award booking
- $89 annual fee
Breeze Easy Visa Card Welcome Offer
New cardmembers currently earn 40,000 bonus BreezePoints and Breezy 1 benefits after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. Breeze points are at least 1¢ apiece, so that bonus is worth at least $400 toward Breeze fares and trip add-ons.

Breeze Easy Visa Card Benefits
The Breeze Easy Visa Card focuses on in-flight benefits rather than a long list of ancillary travel perks. Below is what you get for the $89 annual fee.
Zone 1 priority boarding
Cardmembers board in Group 1 on every Breeze flight, and companions on the same reservation do too. This can be a helpful upgrade on travel day when bin space fills up fast. Priority boarding is also included in the Nicer and Nicest Bundles, so this perk is most useful when you book a No Flex Fare or a Nice Bundle.
Complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi
Breeze offers Wi-Fi across its Airbus A220 fleet (but not its Embraer aircraft). Cardmembers can connect for no charge on enabled flights. Breeze normally sells Wi-Fi as a paid add-on or includes it in higher bundles, though messaging is free. Double-check your most-frequented routes to ensure your aircraft has Wi-Fi before you value this perk.
Anniversary bonus points
By spending $10,000 on the card within a cardmember year, you'll receive 7,500 bonus BreezePoints after your account anniversary. That's worth at least $75, which offsets nearly the full $89 annual fee each year. Unlike the anniversary points on some competing airline cards, this bonus is tied to a spending threshold — and a rather high one at that.
No BreezePoints expiration
Under the Breezy
No foreign transaction fees
The card charges no foreign transaction fees. Breeze flies to the Bahamas, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico, so you can use the card on those international trips without the typical 3% surcharge.
Visa Signature travel and purchase protection
As a Visa Signature card product, the card carries a strong standard set of protections, including:
- Travel accident insurance
- Auto rental collision damage waiver (secondary coverage)
- Extended warranty protection
- Purchase protection
- Roadside dispatch and travel and emergency assistance services
Coverage limits and exclusions vary, so check your guide to benefits before relying on any of these protections.
Breeze Easy Visa Card Earning Rates
The Breeze Easy Visa Card advertises up to 10X BreezePoints, but you should understand the fine print before you buy. You earn 5X at purchase, and the remaining 5X after you complete the flight with your Breezy Rewards number attached to the reservation. You'll also earn:
- Up to 4X on Nice Bundles (2X at purchase plus 2X after the flight)
- 2X at grocery stores and restaurants, including Breeze in-flight purchases
- 1X on all other purchases
The 2X rate at grocery stores and restaurants matches what the JetBlue Plus Card and the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card earn in those categories, but BreezePoints are generally not as valuable. Outside of Breeze bundles, you don't want to use this card for everyday spending when a card that earns a transferable currency can earn more in the same categories.
Redeeming Points with the Breeze Easy Visa Card
BreezePoints used to be a fixed-value award currency, where each point is worth 1¢ toward the cash price of a Breeze fare. You can also apply points toward seat selection, checked and carry-on bag fees, pet fees, and other trip add-ons.
However, when Breeze relaunched the Breezy Rewards program, it added increased-value redemptions. For instance, this flight from Tampa (TPA) to Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) costs just 4,100 points and $50 in taxes and fees for a No Flex Fare. Meanwhile, the cash ticket costs $119. That gives you a value of almost 1.7¢ per point.
Keep in mind that different fare bundles will have different values. On the same flight, the Nicest bundle costs $363 or 24,400 points plus $50 in taxes and fees, giving you a value of 1.28¢ per point

Track your BreezePoints alongside your other loyalty balances in AwardWallet so the points are ready when a Breeze sale hits your home airport.
Application Restrictions
As a Barclays-issued product, the Breeze Easy Visa Card is subject to the bank's credit card application restrictions. Barclays will consider how many credit cards you've opened recently and any inquiries on your credit report.
In addition, there are other restrictions:
“You may not be eligible for this offer if you currently have or previously had an account with us in this program. In addition, you may not be eligible for this offer if, at any time during our relationship with you, we have cause, as determined by us in our sole discretion, to suspect that the account is being obtained or will be used for abusive or gaming activity (such as, but not limited to, obtaining or using the account to maximize rewards earned in a manner that is not consistent with typical consumer activity and/or multiple credit card account applications/openings).”
As of now, Breeze only has one credit card. However, if that changes, it seems you are only eligible for one welcome offer per program, regardless of how many cards Breeze launches.
Other Options to Consider
If the Breeze Easy Visa Card isn't a good fit, you aren't entirely out of luck. Unfortunately, Breeze doesn't offer another card to consider, and you can't transfer points from any program to Breezy Rewards. If you really want to earn BreezePoints on your everyday purchases, this is your only option.
However, if you're open to other airlines, here are a few additional options to consider:
Venture Rewards Credit Card: This card earns 2X Capital One miles on everyday purchases. You can transfer those miles to 22 airline and hotel partners, or you can redeem your miles against travel purchases made in the last 90 days at a fixed rate of 1¢ apiece. This can be a workaround to redeeming miles for Breeze flights. Plus, the annual fee is just $95 — only a few dollars more than the Breeze Easy Visa Card.Capital One - Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards credit card: If you prefer to earn cash back, this is an excellent option. You'll earn 6% cash back for the first year in the category of your choice (then 3%), automatic 2% at grocery stores and wholesale clubs (up to $2,500 in combined choice category/grocery store/wholesale club quarterly purchases), and unlimited 1% on all other purchases. If you're a BofA Rewards™ program member, you can earn 10%–75% more cash back on every purchase. While you can't book Breeze award flights, you can earn cash back on your flight purchases.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card: This is one of our favorite beginner's cards because of its simple earning structure and valuable rewards. You'll earn 5x on travel purchased through Chase Travel℠, 3x on dining, select streaming services, gas and EV charging, vacation homes, and online groceries, 2x on all other travel purchases, 1x on all other purchases. You could use Chase's Pay Yourself Back feature to offset the cost of Breeze flights, or use the card to book Breeze flights and use rewards through Chase's other partners.

- 5X miles per dollar on purchases through Capital One Entertainment
- 5X miles per dollar on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel
- 2X miles per dollar on all other purchases

- 2% cash back at grocery stores and wholesale clubs*
- 1% cash back on all other purchases
- * You'll earn 6% and 2% cash back on the first $2,500 in combined choice category/grocery store/wholesale club purchases each quarter, then earn 1%. After the 3% first-year bonus offer ends, you will earn 3% and 2% cash back on these purchases up to the quarterly maximum.

$95Rates & Fees

Bottom Line
The Breeze Easy Visa Card is a niche product for a niche airline. Its earning rates aren't anything special. BreezePoints aren't particularly valuable, and there's no free-bag benefit. Do free Wi-Fi and Group 1 boarding justify an $89 annual-fee credit card? Only you can decide that.
If Breeze connects your home airport to the places you go, this card is worth considering. If you fly Breeze once a year, the welcome bonus alone may be worth it, but otherwise, other travel credit cards may make more sense.
