Is This Amex-to-Marriott Transfer Bonus Worth It?
For most travelers, this Marriott transfer bonus isn't really that compelling. Based on recent AwardWallet user redemptions, Marriott Bonvoy points are worth around 0.93¢ each.
Even with the 35% transfer bonus, you're getting roughly 1.26 cents in value per Membership Rewards point. And it almost goes without saying that there are plenty of ways to redeem Membership Rewards points for more value than that.
For context, the average redemption rate of an Amex point among AwardWallet users is 2.06¢ each. So, this transfer bonus is relatively unremarkable…at least on paper.
That said, transferring Amex points to Marriott can still make sense in certain situations. If you need to top off your Marriott account for an upcoming redemption, or consistently redeem Marriott points for outsized value, this bonus could be worth considering.

Our Take
We love American Express Membership Rewards points for their value and flexibility. But at the standard 1:1 transfer ratio, it rarely makes sense to transfer Amex points to Marriott Bonvoy. And even with a 35% bonus, most cardholders will likely get more value by redeeming their Membership Rewards points elsewhere.
That said, this promotion can be somewhat useful if you need to top off your Marriott account for a specific upcoming redemption. If that's the case, you'll have until December 10, 2026, to take advantage of the bonus.
