Leaders Club — the loyalty program of The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) — is back with its most generous offer: up to a 100% bonus when you buy LHW points, now through September 25, 2026. At the top tier, that drops the cost to 6¢ per point, matching the best rate we’ve seen.

That’s pricey by most points-and-miles standards. But in the world of five-star European estates and beachfront villas in Turks and Caicos, it can still be a smart play. If you have a dream redemption in mind — or need to top off your balance for a luxury stay — this promotion might be worth a look.

Buy LHW Leaders Club Points Promotion Details

  • This promotion runs through 11:59 p.m. ET on September 25, 2026.
  • Purchase a minimum of 2,000 Leaders Club points to receive any bonus (50%).
  • Buy at least 30,000 Leaders Club points to receive the maximum bonus (100%).
  • Members can purchase a maximum of 75,000 points per transaction and year before any bonuses.
  • Purchased points will not count toward any Leaders Club tier qualification.
  • It may take up to 10 days for purchased points to appear in your account.
  • Purchased points are not refundable, and transactions are non-reversible.
  • See all of the LHW terms and conditions here.

Taking up to 10 days to receive your points is on the slow end. So keep this in mind as you plan upcoming stays.

This is a tiered promotion, so the bonus depends on how many points you buy. Here are the bonus tiers and corresponding prices:

  • 1,000 points: No bonus (12¢ each)
  • 2,000–11,000 points: 50% bonus (8¢ each)
  • 12,000–29,000 points: 75% bonus (6.86¢ each)
  • 30,000–75,000 points: 100% bonus (6¢ each)

As you can see, buying Leaders Club points costs considerably more than other programs. But, as you're about to see, that's because LHW points pack a ton of value.

A Note on Buying Points

Buying points and miles without a plan is rarely a good idea. Regardless of the program, make sure you have a valuable use for the points in mind before reaching for your wallet.

However, there are two scenarios where buying points could be a good idea. The first is when you're just short of the necessary points for a valuable award redemption you're ready to book. The second is when buying the necessary points for an award night is cheaper than paying the cash rate for your stay.

So before your eyes light up at the sight of a 100% bonus promotion, ensure you calculate the value you'll receive before clicking that “buy” button. And remember, you may do better by taking advantage of the option to transfer Citi ThankYou® Points or American Express Membership Rewards points to Leading Hotels of the World.

When Can It Make Sense To Buy Leaders Club Points?

As you would assume by its name, Leading Hotels of the World focuses more on luxury properties than mid-range or budget options. Some examples of hotels under the LHW brand include The Ritz London and The Ritz Paris, The Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, and the Wymara Resort and Villas in Turks and Caicos — pretty fancy stuff!

But that’s exactly why a buy-points promotion like this can be ideal for booking an otherwise out-of-reach stay. Here are two situations when buying Leaders Club points with up to a 100% bonus can make sense:

  • When buying points is cheaper than paying cash. Compare the hotel’s nightly cash rate (after taxes) to its award rate. Multiply the number of points required by 6¢ each (the lowest effective cost during a 100% bonus). If that total is lower than the cash price, you’ll come out ahead. More often than not, you’ll save a reasonable amount, and sometimes the savings are significant.
  • When you need to top off your account for a specific redemption. If you’re just a few points short of booking a stay (and don’t have extra Citi ThankYou or Amex Membership Rewards points lying around), buying points can be cheaper than paying cash for one or more nights.

To show you how this might play out, consider a five-night stay at the luxe Wymara Resort and Villas. A pool-view studio room might cost you a whopping $8,280 plus $2,318.40 in taxes and fees. But instead of paying that, you could redeem an average of 20,700 points per night — or 103,500 points total. Keep in mind that you'll still need to pay the taxes and fees on Leaders Club award redemptions.

Even so, with this 100% bonus, you could buy 104,000 points (52k base plus 52k bonus) for $6,240.

In this example, buying points saves you more than $2,000 on a five-night vacation. That’s unreal! Is it still pretty expensive for a quick getaway? Sure, but you're also staying at one of the nicest hotels in the world, so every bit of savings helps.

Bottom Line

Buying LHW Leaders Club points at 6¢ apiece won't make sense for most travelers. But if you're planning a special occasion — like a honeymoon, milestone birthday, or once-in-a-lifetime luxury getaway — buying LHW points with up to a 100% bonus can unlock significant savings on ultra-premium hotels.

Just make sure to compare cash rates before committing, and check whether you can transfer other points first. But if you’ve crunched the numbers and see a redemption that works, this is the best deal LHW offers — and it's available until September 25, 2026.
