Capital One Venture X Welcome Offer
As a new applicant for the Capital One Venture X, you can earn 75,000 bonus miles when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Welcome offers on the Capital One Venture X don't vary much. In fact, the last time we saw an elevated offer greater than 75,000 bonus miles was when the card launched in 2021.
When considering the value of Capital One miles, this offer is even more valuable than what you might think at first glance. In recent redemptions, AwardWallet users redeem Capital One miles for an average of 2¢ apiece. That makes the Capital One Venture X‘s welcome offer worth over $1,700 toward award travel!

How To Earn Rewards Miles With the Capital One Venture X
While a lot of focus is on the card's headline benefits, the Capital One Venture X‘s earning rates are also a standout feature. It's one of the best cards to keep in your wallet for everyday spending. Its earning rates are as follows:
- 10X miles per $1 on hotels and rental cars booked via Capital One Travel
- 5X miles per $1 on purchases through Capital One Entertainment (through 12/31/2025)
- 5X miles per $1 on flights when booking via Capital One Travel
- 5X miles per $1 on vacation rentals booked via Capital One Travel
- 2X miles per $1 on all other eligible purchases
That means you'll never earn just 1 mile per dollar spent with the Capital One Venture X. And that's a big deal, especially when you consider how valuable Capital One miles are.
How To Redeem Rewards Miles Earned With the Capital One Venture X
Once upon a time, Capital One miles weren't very exciting. But these days, it's a different story. Capital One miles transfer to 19 partners: 16 airline and three hotel loyalty programs. Nearly all of these partners feature a 1:1 transfer ratio, most transfers happen instantly, and you can transfer miles in increments of 100 Capital One Miles — vs. 1,000-point increments for most other flexible point programs.
Leveraging Capital One's transfer partners is an easy way to get the most out of your miles. From aspirational redemptions on Singapore Airlines to flying Emirates' gold-plated seats to cheap award flights to Europe on Virgin Atlantic, the sky is the limit with Capital One miles.
But that's not all they're good for. You can also redeem Capital One miles for a fixed value. You can cash your miles in at 1¢ apiece to cover eligible travel expenses. This method can be worthwhile to cover cheap airplane tickets or ancillary travel costs, as you can redeem a small sum to save a bundle.

Who Should Get the Capital One Venture X?
There aren't many points and miles collectors who wouldn't benefit from the Capital One Venture X. The welcome offer is superb, and the ongoing annual fee is easily offset by just a couple of perks.
Combined, the anniversary miles (worth $100 when redeemed for paid travel or ~$230 when transferred to partners, based on recent AwardWallet user redemptions) and the $300 travel credit more than outweigh the $395 annual fee. And this doesn't account for the value of other benefits, such as lounge access, that you'll enjoy while carrying the card.
Moreover, the Capital One Venture X earns 2X miles on all purchases and up to 10X in bonus categories. Best of all, those miles can be transferred to several fantastic partners. Some of our favorite partners are Avianca LifeMiles, Air Canada Aeroplan, and Air France/KLM Flying Blue — all of which have several amazing sweet spots worth your attention.

Application Rules
Capital One's application rules and restrictions are simple to understand and relatively lenient compared to those of other issuers. Nevertheless, some people find they cannot get approved for a Capital One card even if they technically should be eligible. Capital One often does not approve applicants with many recent inquiries on their credit reports.
Before applying, you should know that Capital One limits applicants to one new credit card every six months. This rule applies to both consumer and business credit cards. Moreover, you're limited to carrying a maximum of five personal cards and two starter cards at any one time.
It's also important to know that Capital One pulls your credit report from all three bureaus — not just one. In other words, be aware that applying for a Capital One credit card might result in a few hard pulls on your credit report.

The current introductory offer on the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card can land new card applicants a stack of extremely valuable miles. Specifically, you can earn 75,000 bonus miles when you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
