Like many other airlines, Qatar Airways offers members a platform to redeem frequent flyer miles for unique experiences. Privilege Club Collection offers two main categories of events: sports and events, and music and culture. In 2026, there's a third category dedicated to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Including the World Cup, there are currently just 49 events available through Privilege Club Collection, so it's not as far-reaching as other platforms. However, these cover a wide range of events, from soccer matches in Paris to concerts in London and World Cup tickets throughout North America. Plus, new events are added regularly.
Here's what to know about using your Qatar Airways Avios for experiences through Privilege Club Collection.
How the Privilege Club Collection Works
The Privilege Club Collection operates on a simple auction system. Once an auction starts, all you need to do is place a bid. To submit your bid, you will need to set up an OTP (one-time password), which you should have already done when setting up your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account.
Once you bid, the entire Avios amount will be deducted from your account and held in escrow. In other words, you need enough Avios in your account to place the bid that you're making. You can't place a bid and then transfer points to your account if you win. However, if you are outbid, you will be refunded and notified. You can also set up automatic bidding, where you enter the maximum amount you are willing to bid, and the system will place bids on your behalf in increments up to that limit so you stay in the lead.
Popcorn bidding is enabled to prevent people from waiting until the last second to swoop in with a winning bid. So, if a bid is submitted in the last 60 seconds of the auction, the time limit is automatically extended by 60 seconds to allow additional bids. Members will be notified of the status of their bids by email.
Outside of auctions, the website lists an option to buy tickets with immediate confirmation. But at the time of writing, there weren't any events available that offered this option.

Qatar Privilege Club Collection Events
There are typically around 50 events available to bid on at any given time. Here's a quick look at some of the available events across the three main categories. Since Privilege Club Collection operates on an auction basis, there's no way to tell exactly how much an experience will go for. However, this will give you an idea of the current bid prices.
Sports and events
At the time of writing, there were 16 events in the sports and events category. This includes soccer matches throughout Europe, WNBA games in New York, the premier European club football final in Budapest (including hotel and VIP experiences), and even signed jerseys from U.S. basketball players.
To give you an idea of how much you will spend, the current bid for an auction for a match between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern München is 186,000 Avios, and the auction closes in seven hours. That's plenty of time for the auction price to rise, but it's unlikely to double or triple unless it's in very high demand.
That specific experience includes two hospitality tickets to the match, access to the hospitality lounge with food and beverage, and access to watch the teams' warm-up session from the pitch side.

If you value Qatar Avios at roughly 2 cents apiece, then this bid is currently worth $3,720. It's up to you to decide if two VIP tickets to a soccer match are worth that much.
On the lower end, an auction for two Suitebox tickets to a New York Liberty vs Connecticut Sun game is scheduled to close in roughly 13 hours, and the current bid is 4,800 Avios. Standard seats are available on Ticketmaster for $55 apiece plus taxes and fees, so this is a good auction price — assuming it doesn't rise in the next few hours.

Music and culture
In the music and culture section, there are a variety of concerts available, including Conan Gray, The Neighbourhood, Zayn, and Doja Cat. Privilege Club Collection might not be the first place you'd think to look when you want to buy a concert ticket, but it's worth checking from time to time to see whether your favorite artist has released tickets on the platform.
For instance, the auction for Conan Gray at The O2 includes two VIP tickets, VIP entry, pre-bookable VIP drop off by car, a £200 food and beverage voucher, access to a members-only NinetyThird by Qatar Airways premium club, and a post-show lounge. At the time of writing, the current bid was just 121 Avios, but there were still several days remaining.

2026 FIFA World Cup
There are 23 FIFA World Cup 26 matches available through Privilege Club Collection, and the prices seem slightly better than those for tickets redeemed with American Airlines AAdvantage miles. However, American Airlines offered members fixed ticket prices, whereas Qatar implements an auction. That means prices can skyrocket as the auction gets close to closing.
However, bids for two tickets to Category 1 group stage matches are as low as 65,000 Avios. If it stays roughly the same price and assuming the same 2-cent valuation of Avios, you'll pay roughly $1,300 for these tickets. Tickets on the official website cost $500 apiece for the same matches, so think carefully before redeeming your Avios for this experience.

Boosting Your Qatar Avios Balance
If you want to bid on one of these events or experiences but your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account is a little light, you have some options. The first thing to consider is combining Avios between Avios-earning accounts. This way, even if your bid is unsuccessful, you can return your Avios to the initial account after the auction. Seven programs use Avios as their point currency, which you can move freely to Qatar:
- British Airways Club
- Iberia Club
- Aer Lingus AerClub
- Veuling
- Loganair
- Finnair
Since you can move Avios around freely, you can transfer virtually every flexible point currency to Qatar Airways — either directly or by transferring to an Avios partner first, then moving rewards to Qatar Airways. If you prefer to transfer your points directly to Qatar Privilege Club, you can do so using Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou® Points, Bilt Points, and Capital One Miles, plus from a handful of hotel loyalty programs.
As a last resort, you can buy Qatar Avios, sometimes with a bonus. However, always compare the cost of buying a ticket directly from the venue. If tickets are available, you don't want to overspend by buying Avios just to redeem them for experiences through Privilege Club Collection.

Our Take
Hardly a day goes by without another airline or hotel loyalty program getting in on the “redeeming for experiences” act. On one level, this is good for customers, since it gives them more options for using their rewards. On the other hand, it can be bad news, as customers may get caught up in a bidding war and end up paying too much for an experience.
Experience redemptions can provide lower value than award travel. However, if you have a stash of Avios that you don't know what to do with, redeeming them for unique events is a great way to use up your balance and have a new experience.
