IHG One Rewards has launched a new promotion offering members triple ANA miles on eligible stays worldwide through August 31, 2024. ANA Mileage Club members can earn up to 15,000 bonus miles through this promotion. But should you take advantage of this offer?

How To Earn Triple ANA Miles on IHG Hotel Stays
IHG has airline partners with whom you can earn miles or transfer points. Occasionally, it offers special promotions for earning bonus miles. If you prefer to earn airline miles instead of IHG One Rewards points on stays, it's an easy way to earn miles that are otherwise challenging to accrue, as is the case with ANA.
This promotion allows ANA Mileage Club members to earn triple ANA miles on IHG stays through August 31, 2024. Members typically earn 3X miles at most properties and 1X at select luxury properties. But with this offer, you'll earn 9X miles. The exceptions are Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, and the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, where you'll earn 3X ANA miles instead of 1X after registering.
The first step to taking advantage of the offer is to register. If you're prompted, the promo code is 61941. The second step is to adjust your earning preferences — switching from earning IHG One Rewards points to ANA Mileage Club miles. Once you switch, you'll no longer earn IHG points until you change your preferences again.
After registering and changing your earning preferences, book and stay at IHG hotels and resorts worldwide through August 31, 2024. After completing the stay, you'll earn triple ANA miles. Members can earn up to 15,000 bonus miles through this promotion.
In other words, you can earn 6X extra miles per dollar on the first $2,500 of spending after registering and booking. If you value ANA miles, that's not a bad return.
Keep in mind that Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas offer a third of the rewards, so you only get 2X bonus miles with this offer. However, the maximum number of miles you can earn stays the same. Therefore, you can still get 15,000 bonus miles at these properties, but that would require $7,500 in spending.

Our Take
If you're both an IHG One Rewards member and an ANA Mileage Club member, consider registering for this promotion. Even if you don't normally choose to earn ANA miles on IHG stays, this is a good opportunity to get some bonus miles if you have a future use for them.
Remember, you must register, book, and complete your stays by August 31, 2024 to earn triple ANA miles. And there's a limit of 15,000 bonus miles you can earn, so perhaps consider switching back to your preferred earning preference after collecting the full bonus.
