Time flies when you're traveling around the world on points and miles. The Chase Sapphire Reserve® has now been fueling wanderlust for 10 years. And Chase is marking the occasion with a variety of limited-time anniversary offers and a contest that will award a total of 10 million
Here's what to know about the Sapphire Reserve‘s 10th birthday bash.
Chase Is Celebrating 10 Years of the Sapphire Reserve
Existing cardholder promotions
To take advantage of the following promotions, you need to be a Sapphire Reserve cardmember as of September 16, 2026. That means these new offers won't be available to anyone who applies for the card in the next few weeks.
You'll need to activate these benefits in your account before you make an eligible purchase. Here are the promotions currently available:
- Earn $125 back when you spend $500 or more on an eligible stay with IHG Hotels & Resorts in the U.S. Complete payment by October 16, 2026.
- Earn $250 back when you spend $1,000 on a stay at Miraval and Alila properties that are part of the
World of Hyatt - Earn $200 back when you spend $200 on a semi-private flight with JSX. Complete payment by December 14, 2026.
- Earn $350 back when you spend $1,500 on a vacation home with Wander. Complete payment by December 14, 2026.
- Earn $125 back when you spend $500 on a premium car rental with SIXT. Complete payment by December 14, 2026. This is only available to eligible cardmembers as of August 25, 2026.
If you fully max out each offer, you can earn up to $1,050 in credits — more than the card's $795 annual fee. However, you'll need to spend a minimum of $3,700 to earn all the credits, so you're still spending at least $2,650 out of pocket.
Some credits are clearly easier to use than others. If you have travel plans, odds are, you can utilize the IHG and Hyatt credits, but JSX operates just a handful of flights, and you'll likely need to spend more than $200 to book one.
For each of these promotions, you can book and pay directly with the partner, not through the Chase Travel℠ portal. This is great news, as you earn 4X Chase Ultimate Rewards points on flights and hotels booked directly. While you'll earn just 1X points on your car rental, you can take advantage of some of the best travel and car rental protections on the market.
Expanding DoorDash benefits
In addition to these limited-time promotions, the Sapphire Reserve‘s DoorDash credit is expanding on October 1, 2026. The current $5 monthly restaurant credit will increase to $15 per month, usable on all eligible DoorDash orders. The two $10 monthly non-restaurant credits will stay the same. Now, you'll be able to enjoy up to $35 in DoorDash value each month. This benefit is now available through December 31, 2029.
Contest to win 5.5 million points
Now for the most exciting part: the chance to win 5.5 million Ultimate
On average, AwardWallet users redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points for 2.07¢ apiece. That means the grand prize is worth roughly $113,850, and the nine remaining finalists' prize is worth $10,350.
However, keep in mind it's easier to get outsized value from points when you transfer them to one of Chase's airline partners and redeem them for long-haul business-class awards. For these redemptions, AwardWallet users average 3.16¢ apiece, which makes the grand prize worth $173,250. Even if you redeem your points through the Chase Travel Portal, 5.5 million points can take you far, so be sure to post about your favorite trip before November 6.

As a Sapphire Reserve cardholder myself, I'm thrilled with these birthday celebrations. All current cardholders can earn up to $1,050 through limited-time credits by making eligible purchases, and you can win up to 5.5 million Ultimate Rewards points to fund your travels for the next decade.
Even if you don't win, Chase is expanding the DoorDash benefit, which makes the card even more useful than it already is. Be sure to keep an eye on the various end dates for these promotions — you need to book travel by either October 16 or December 14, 2026, to earn the credits and submit your story by November 6 to enter the contest.
