Beyond that easy bonus, you can earn even more bonus miles by booking a hotel stay through AAdvantage Hotels and reserving a rental car through AAdvantage Cars between now and February 28, 2026.
Here’s what you need to know about this limited-time offer and how to register for your bonus miles.
Register for 100 Bonus Miles and up to 3k Miles on Hotel and Car Rentals
The newest American Airlines promotion has arrived in the rewards hub of your AAdvantage account. After registering for this offer by December 31, 2025, you'll immediately earn 100 bonus AA miles, but you can earn even more by booking a stay through AAdvantage Hotels and making a reservation through AAdvantage cars.
At a glance, the offer works like this:
- Register and earn 100 bonus miles.
- Stay at a participating hotel booked on the AAdvantage Hotels platform by February 28, 2026, and earn 750 bonus miles.
- Rent a car with the AAdvantage Cars platform by February 28, 2026, and earn 750 bonus miles.
- Complete both activities by February 28, 2026, and earn another 1,500 bonus miles.
All told, you can earn up to 3,100 American Airlines AAdvantage miles with this offer. Unfortunately, though, these bonus miles do not double as Loyalty Points for the sake of earning AAdvantage elite status.
Based on recent AwardWallet user redemptions, 3,100 AAdvantage miles are worth about $80.
While everyone who's received the offer should register to begin with (easy one-time bonus miles), this offer might be worth earning in full if you can earn the rewards organically. Even though the bonus miles don't count towards your Loyalty Point tally, the miles you earn from the stays and rentals themselves do.
So, the rewards from this promotion are really just the icing on the cake if you're making a push to level up your AAdvantage status next year by transacting with AA's partners.

Final Thoughts
It’s not very often you can earn American Airlines AAdvantage miles without spending anything. And while it’s a small amount, you can earn 100 miles just by registering for the new AA promotion by December 31, 2025.
If you want to earn more, you can pick up up to an additional 3,000 bonus miles by booking a hotel stay through AAdvantage Hotels and completing a rental through AAdvantage Cars by February 28, 2026. You’ll earn 750 miles for the hotel stay, 750 miles for the car rental, and a 1,500-mile bonus for completing both activities.
Even if you don’t plan to complete the hotel or car rental components of the offer, you should still register. One hundred miles won’t move the needle much, but they're worth the half second it takes to register.
