Alaska Airlines has teamed up with Qatar Airways to offer double miles. However, it won't last long — just until June 30, 2023. Here are details for this promotion and how many bonus miles you can earn.
Alaska and Qatar Double Miles Promotion
The Alaska and Qatar partnership predates Alaska joining Oneworld. And that partnership is even sweeter right now, thanks to a promotion offering double Mileage Plan miles.
Since December 1, 2021, Mileage Plan members have earned the following miles when flying with Qatar Airways:

On flights through June 2023, Alaska members will earn double base miles on Qatar Airlines flights.
First, register for this promotion. After registering, Mileage Plan members will earn double base miles on all flights with Qatar Airways through June 30, 2023.
How many miles you will earn will depend on which fare you book. The highest fare (First Class) will net you 450% of your miles flown during this promotion. Economy Class (Y) will earn you 200% miles, while the lowest fares — T, O, and W — will provide 50% miles on your flight. To figure out how many miles you'll earn, multiply your flight distance by these earning rates.
Note that double miles apply to base miles only. Elite qualifying miles are not affected, and the bonus miles don't count toward earning elite status with Alaska.
Terms and conditions
- Members must register for this promotion before booking the first flight.
- Flights must take place before June 30, 2023.
- Eligible flights are those which accrue award miles.
- Not valid on free or award travel.
- Double miles do not count toward Mileage Plan elite status.
- Allow four to six weeks for miles to post to your Mileage Plan account.
Our Take
Alaska Airlines doesn't have any flights outside of North America — let alone to the Middle East and beyond.
