  • I just got, I believe, the prettiest pre approval from Discover! All pink and shiny. Really it was smart because I definitely noticed it! I am happy to see this post! I will have my hubby register right away! Since Chase is not doing Amazon, I might just have to use Discover this Christmas.
I don’t really want to lose the Chase points, but 5% cashback is SO tempting! Well we will see which one I will need more this Christmas.

  • This promo will be great if Target has their special once a year event again this year, where they sell Target gift cards at 10% off around Black Friday. They have done this the last few years on one day sometime around Thanksgiving. Previous years you could buy $300 worth of gift cards. The savings would be better than the usual RedCard 5% discount.

  • 5% off Amazon is awesome!

  • Good to see more 5x promotions. Signed up.

  • If you won’t spend $1500 in 3 months, you can always buy a gift cert to get the full credit

  • I was hoping the Freedom would have Amazon again in Q4, but it looks like the went with Discover instead.

  • This is a bit of a bummer. In years past, it was 5% at Amazon and department stores, which worked out well for Christmas shopping. I already have a Target RedCard, as I assume many who routinely shop at Target do, so that bonus with Discover is meaningless.

  • I wish I had a Discover card for this

  • The 5% on online purchases catagory they had for a couple of years, a couple of years ago was a good deal. Especially if you have multiple discover cards.
Although you can use the Amazon deal to buy some gift cards to extend your 5% to some other merchants.

  • a nice bonus for Discover

  • Time for me to head over to my Discover account and activate this!

  • Nice. Thanks. Activated. The 5% off Amazon should come in real handy for Xmas.

  • Not very worthwhile. Costco and grocery stores, I can easily spend 1500 in a month, but can hardly spend 500 in 3 months between target and amazon.
