In celebration of Finnair's 100th anniversary, Finnair Plus members can claim 5,000 points when status-matching to SIXT and renting a car before November 13. That's only a couple days away, so you must act fast. Here are the details.
5,000 Bonus Points with Finnair and SIXT Status Match
Finnair just celebrated its 100th anniversary, and some of its partners are offering special rewards. One such reward comes with status matching from Finnair to SIXT. Finnair is one of many airlines and hotels you can status match to SIXT. The SIXT elite statuses you can claim with your Finnair Plus elite status are as follows:
- Finnair Plus Basic => Express SIXT Status
- Finnair Plus Silver and Gold => Gold SIXT Status
- Finnair Plus Platinum & Platinum Lumo => Platinum SIXT Status
However, that status match just got a bit better. Right now, you can status match from Finnair to SIXT and then make a reservation before November 13, 2023 to earn 5,000 bonus Finnair Plus points. Members will earn the bonus points after completing the car rental before January 31, 2024. Subsequent rentals made by November 13 will earn 2,000 bonus points. Only rentals of 2 or more days are valid. Rentals can be any car class, anywhere in the world.
Note that the Finnair website makes it seem that members will earn the 5,000 bonus points simply by status matching. But once you start the status match, you are then informed that you need to make a car rental by November 13 to claim the bonus points.

If you're interested in claiming a SIXT elite status with your Finnair elite status, and then earning 5,000 bonus points, then jump on this quick and make your SIXT reservation before November 13. Remember that Finnair is just one of many SIXT partners that you can status match from. And there are other ways to get SIXT elite status for free. But if you're working on building up your Finnair Plus points, then this is a nice promotion.
