Key Terms

These deals differ from others in the past with their mandatory registration. Make sure to click the links above for each deal to sign up with the applicable portals.

The purchase amounts for these deals must be above $50 or $75 excluding taxes, fees, returns, cancellations, gift cards, and shipping & handling. All purchases must be made before midnight on May 19th (May 18th for American Airlines).

The bonus miles should be posted to your account within 10 weeks of your purchases.

Our Take

You need to spend just $700 to earn a total of 6,060 bonus miles. However, you'll have to make four separate purchases through each shopping portal to do so. As most purchases don't total exactly $50 or $75, you might be spending far more to gain the 6,060 bonus miles. However, if you make your purchases strategically, you could be earning as much as 8.6x bonus miles on top of the standard shopping portal earnings.

In addition, you'll also earn miles or points depending on the credit card you use to complete the purchase. So, despite the requirement of having to make twelve separate purchases to get the full 6,060 bonus miles, you could really benefit from these deals!

  • JOSEPH HONEK says:

I normally try to make sure that ANY purchase I make earns miles or points.
Currently I have been herding all my purchases towards my two American Airline co-branded cards
as I am close to being a 2 Million Miler.

  • Its a solid deal. Though whatever is happening with airline industry a bit concerning.

  • Melissa Alvarez says:

Teleworking everyday I find myself shopping online every week.

If this is a way to earn miles and keep my miles it is a no brainer for me.

  • Mariana Belfer says:

Made a 3 purchases and got the bonus miles. This is an unusually small spent for a nice amount of miles!

  • Are you aware of any offers which work for international (in my case european) users? All of them sadly always seem to be US only 🙁

  • This is a pretty low spend requirement, usually you have to spend a lot more to get these bonuses.

  • I read about these promos and quickly enrolled just to make sure I wasn’t going to miss out in case I would buy something online. I’m confused about the 20 miles other than that it makes it matching the year. I’m sure that’s what they are doing possibly to easily find any bonus miles later.

  • Good deal. Hope airlines don’t go bankrupt

  • Portal bonuses are the easiest ways to earn miles IMHO. Buy what you would normally be buying, and get paid (and bonuses). Thanks.

  • ron_vaughn@hotmail.com says:

Are the shopping portals run by the same vendor? Is that why we get identical offers on the same day by multiple airlines?

    • I think in large part the answer is yes, but it could also the same reason you see the same things on sale at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy at the same time.

    • I also believe it’s the same vendor behind the scenes.. Even beyond seeing identical offers, I’ve seen way too similar website design. I think it’s just like the dining programs, which I know had the same vendor for the longest time. Not sure where they stand now.

  • Shopping portal bonuses are great, but I usually find the Chase UR portal, for example, to be more lucrative.

    • Even when they do actual bonuses? Sure 2 URs is better than 2 United miles but what about getting a $2,000 mile bonus? Chase doesn’t do purchase bonuses like that (or do they?).

  • Not generous enough for me to go out of the way to make unnecessary purchases. Was hoping for something a bit more lucrative, even if it involved some effort.
