Amex is offering another freebie. U.S.-based American Express cardholders can claim a free annual subscription to iTranslate Pro this year. Here are the details of the promotion.
What is iTranslate Pro?
iTranslate is another translation app similar to Google Translate or Apple's Translate. While most popular translation apps are completely free, iTranslate has two levels — a free version and a paid Pro version.
The free version doesn't hold up very well to other translation apps, mostly because the best modes are locked behind the premium subscription tier. Specifically, iTranslate Pro members get access to Camera Mode, Voice Mode, and Offline Mode.
However, iTranslate Pro has some features that even Google Translate doesn't have — like multiple voices.
Free iTranslate Pro Subscription
American Express has a new promotion on the benefits page. Through September 23, 2023, Amex cardholders can claim a free subscription to iTranslate Pro for 12 months. At the current rate, that's a $69.99 value.
Note that the subscription will automatically renew after the year is up. If you don't want to renew, you'll need to cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before it's scheduled to renew.

Terms and Conditions
- This promotion is available to U.S.-based Amex cardholders only.
- If you qualify but are currently overseas, you will need to have a U.S. IP address. Consider using a VPN.
- Cancellation must be done 24 hours before the end of the trial period to avoid being billed for another year.
- If you cancel early, the cancellation will take effect immediately. iTranslate will downgrade you to the free service. You'll lose any unused portion of the free trial period when you purchase or cancel a subscription. No refunds or credits for partial months.
Our Take
Some cardholders will probably want to continue using Google Translate or Translate. If you want to give iTranslate a try — or are already using it — this is certainly a nice promotion to take advantage of. Just make sure to cancel your free iTranslate Pro subscription at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid getting billed for another year.
Remember that Amex cardholders can also still claim a free subscription to Entertainment until the end of January 2023.

thank you! I signed up for this and I think I could become addicted to this app. This was smart of amex. I like it much better than google translate. I might just keep it and let it renew on it’s own.
