Our Take
This is a great offer from Delta and Amex and a nice gesture to loyal customers. However, one issue is whether you already have Delta Sky Club access or not. Gaining entry to the lounge can be expensive and not worth it just to get a couple of free drinks; on the other hand, if you hold a qualifying credit card and have Delta Sky Club access, then go ahead and enjoy a couple of free drinks.

If only this was a perk with hotel cards as well….
This is a small gesture that more co-brands should pick up.
they can keep their free drinks. their sky pesos are worthless and that is where they need to give some benefits
I have the delta amex cards but don’t fly Delta or have any Delta lounge access… would be nice if they would extend some access to the clubs too. Thanks.
Nice offer from AMEX, thanks for sharing
Am I required to be on a Delta flight to access this promotion if I already have the card and lounge access?
You’re not.
Nice giveaway on AMEX Delta part. But short window indeed. Maybe they should add this benefit full time
I do have any Delta flights until next month so I am out of luck. This was an extremely short window to take advantage of this offer.
Wish I was traveling during these dates. Would love to have taken advantage of this. So you think they will offer this again?
Your guess is as good as ours.
This is a fun offer but unfortunately a very small window of opportunity. I have the Delta credit card and Delta Lounge access (due to Amex Platinum) but my flight on Delta in May is not until after the dates of the offer.
I guess you win some and you lose some. I’m still looking forward to trying out their lounges. Only having access while flying Delta makes them more restrictive than most.
Cheers to those whose travel plans do fall in those dates.
Darn – Recently closed an Amex Delta card.
Me too! I unfortunately just cancelled the account.
