United has announced a promotion giving you a free and easy 1,000 bonus United miles for linking your United Visa card to the new United MileagePlus X app. To take advantage of the promotion, you will have to link your card by March 31, 2019. Linking your card is sufficient to trigger the bonus; you don’t need to make a purchase.
