Eligible Hyatt Brands for Double Points
This promotion applies to just two of World of Hyatt's 30+ brands: Hyatt Place and Hyatt House. Hyatt classifies both brands in its “Upscale” category, tailoring them toward family and business travel. Hyatt House is designed more for long-term travel and is similar to Element by Westin or Residence Inn, while Hyatt Place is comparable to Courtyard by Marriott or Holiday Inn Express.
The two brands represent 563 of Hyatt's 1,300+ properties. That means you can take advantage of this promotion across a significant portion of Hyatt's footprint — although a look at Hyatt's brand map shows that a vast majority of these locations are in North America.
Earn Double Points at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House
To take advantage of this double Hyatt points promotion, you must register by November 15, 2024 and before completing your stay(s). Then, you must complete your stay by December 15, 2024 to earn bonus points. So, you may want to book separate stays — one checking out December 15 and another to complete your travel — if you're planning an extended trip that includes the night of ODec. 15.
The terms and conditions don't stipulate a minimum length of stay required or a cap on the number of stays for this promotion. The only limitation is 25,000 bonus points — which would require spending $5,000 on eligible rates.

Boost Your Earning Rate Higher With a Hyatt Card
This promotion boosts the base earnings at Hyatt House and Hyatt Place properties to 10x points, but you can boost your earning rate higher by using the The World of Hyatt Credit Card. Cardholders earn 4x points at Hyatt properties and 2x points at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly from the airlines, on local transit and commuting, and on fitness club and gym memberships.
Add in the bonus points from the Hyatt Discoverist status that comes as a benefit of the card, and you'll earn (at least) 14.5 points per dollar spent at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties this summer and fall.
- Earn up to 60,000 Bonus Points. Earn 30,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening. Final Thoughts
Through mid-December, World of Hyatt members can earn points at two of Hyatt's largest brands. Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties aren't aspirational. However, they're practical for extended stays, road trips, or just getting a bit more space in a city (hello from one in Santiago, Chile now!).
Whether or not you're planning to stay at a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place in the next few months, it's worth registering for this promotion now just in case a stay works its way into your plans.
