Today, the first nine Lindner Hotels in Germany begin participating in the World of Hyatt program. However, this is only the first batch, as 17 additional properties will join on June 22, 2023. The move is part of the comprehensive collaboration agreement signed between Lindner and World of Hyatt in late 2022. The agreement also saw Lindner agree to terminate its Lindner Nights loyalty program.

There's no official word yet on which Hyatt brand these properties will fall under. Here's what we know and don't know about Lindner properties and their participation in World of Hyatt.

There are six additional Lindner Hotels that should start participating in World of Hyatt in the future. An exact date remains unknown.

For the properties that have certain dates, you'll notice that they're now appearing in Hyatt's new hotel promotion list. This promotion offers 500 bonus points per night when you stay at its newest hotels.

What Happens to the Lindner Nights Program?

Sadly, the Lindner Nights loyalty program is coming to an end. According to earlier news from Lindner, the program will roll up as follows:

  • The Lindner Nights program will cease to exist on July 1, 2023.
  • You can redeem your point balances through December 31, 2023, subject to availability.
  • Members will not be transferred automatically to World of Hyatt; they need to enroll individually.

At this point, it is unclear whether you can transfer any of your Lindner point balance over to the World of Hyatt program. However, by all accounts, it seems this will not be possible.

What Hyatt Brand Will These Properties Be?

Lindner Hotels will become Joie de Vivre/JdV by Hyatt properties.

Why does this matter? Staying at various Hyatt brands can help you earn free nights, thanks to the Brand Explorer perk. If you haven't stayed at a JdV property before, staying at a Lindner property (once flagged as JdV, of course) could help you check that box.

Our Take

The addition of Lindner Hotels to the World of Hyatt program is a great move that makes sense for both parties. On the Hyatt side, it adds a substantial number of properties in Germany to its portfolio. This works for Hyatt since it has a small footprint in Germany, which is a big market. On the Lindner side, the move opens up its properties to the World of Hyatt customer base, making this collaboration a win-win for both parties.

Do you plan to check out any of these new Lindner hotels that are joining World of Hyatt? Which locations caught your eye?
