The offer on the IHG® Rewards Select Credit Card is no longer available through this site. You can see a review of IHG's new premium card here.
Chase has raised the offer on the IHG® Rewards Select Credit Card to 60,000 points after spending $1,000 in 3 months. In addition, you'll earn 5,000 bonus points after you add your first authorized user and make your first purchase within this same 3 month period.
Plus, you will get a free night for each year of card membership and enjoy a $0 introductory annual fee the first year. After that, it's $49 annually. This is a low annual fee considering the signup bonus being offered, and that you get a free night each year.
You are eligible for this product and bonus if you do not currently have this card and have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months.
Full Details on the IHG 60,000 Offer
Not only do you have the opportunity to earn 60,000 + 5,000 points (for the authorized user), but you will also receive some nice perks with the IHG Select Card.
As stated above, you will get a free award night each year of card membership. This is a fantastic perk and makes paying the $49 annual fee a no-brainer. For example, you can use the free night at the Palazzo in Vegas, which standardly runs about $200 – $300 a night.
Another cool perk is that you will receive a 10% rebate on all points redemptions. So if you're booking a stay for 50,000 points a night, you will receive 5,000 points back. Rebate perks are a great thing!
As long as you hold the IHG Select Card, you will have Platinum status, which comes with free internet, possible room upgrade, extended checkout, and priority check-in.
The IHG Select Card also comes with no foreign transaction fees and 2x points per $1 at gas stations, grocery stores, and restaurants. You'll also earn 5 points per $1 spent when you stay at IHG properties.
Redeeming IHG Points
You can redeem IHG points for reward nights from 10,000 – 70,000 points a night. That means that this offer can get you up to 6 free reward nights.
You can also combine your IHG points with cash to stretch out your points further.
And don't forget that you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points into the IHG program at a 1:1 ratio instantly. You can earn UR points from the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card.
Wrap Up
The IHG Select Card has an offer of 60,000 + 5,000 points, which is a solid deal. I like the IHG card for its added benefits of the free anniversary night, Platinum elite status, and 10% rebate on all points redemptions. These are all competitive perks for a hotel rewards card and makes this card a keeper.

Hello I signed up for this card with this offer amd was approved, butbtye paperwork I got doesnt show the promotion for 60,000 points if you spend 1k in the months. Can someone who got tgis card tell me if its normal not to show on the paperwork? Or online anywhere? I called and the guy said it shows under my account, but why cant I see it?
This is normal.
Is it better to use this card for staying at IHG properties or use the CSR?
Personally, I’d use the CSR as I value 3 Ultimate Rewards more than 5 IHG Rewards Points
I have this card now and have had it for years. If I cancel the card, how long do I have to wait to apply to get this bonus?
To be eligible receive the bonus on the card you have to meet the requirements of being a new cardmember, which Chase currently identifies as not currently having the card and having it be 24 months from when you last received the signup bonus on the card.
Just used this card for a trip to Ireland, great deal with the yearly cert and points redemptions were a great value. You get points on those stays with the Platinum welcome bonus too on top of 10% back.
Thank you. I was thinking that this card’s free night each year benefit was worth the annual fee, and this bonus makes it a good time to apply.
I also like the 10% rebate on redemptions feature. The card is worth using for IHG stays, otherwise not so much.
Nice, I think I’ll get the card this time.
Great bonus, and a keeper-card for the annual free night at any hotel!
I’m still in my 3 month sign-up bonus period, so I called to ask for this offer and they were happy to oblige.
Great news!
Looks like I will be staying at the Palazzo sometime in the near future. This is a great bonus offer
great offer, i got in when it was 80K and it has been the best card to keep ever.
I have had an IHG credit card for many years. $49 for a hotel night is a great deal. Will Chase let you have a second IHG credit card?
Not at the same time.
This is a good deal, and I’m seriously considering it even though I already have multiple other hotel cards. I just hope I don’t wait too long because I have a feeling that annual fee is going to be raised soon!
I’ve said it before and i will say it again: Why are these CC-Deals not the same in Europe?
Sebastian, this has to do with the difference in financial markets. The European credit card system is simply structured differently than the US market. Frankly, the rest of the world is completely different from the US.
The European Union’s Interchange Fee Regulation caps the maximum amount the card company can charge the retailer to 0.3%. That doesn’t leave much room for covering running costs or profit let alone offering points. Unfortunately it is likely that benefits offered by credit cards in the EU are likely to get even worse. Unfortunately against this background, there is no chance that the sort of deals seen in the US will ever be replicated in Europe.
I was just wondering. If one has not received a bonus for the card within 24 months, and now decides to cancel the card, how long should one wait to re-apply for this IHG card? Thank you.
Hope we see a co-branded IHG credit card in Canada!
I would like also to see return of IHG credit card in Canada.
Hope Citi, AE or somebody else can steal some good hotel cards from Chase. I’ve too many with Cahse and it makes new card application harder.
This is a great offer and though I already have the card, it is definitely the perfect time to encourage others to sign up.
Is this card affected by the 5/24 rule?
It is not: https://awardwallet.com/blog/chase-524-policy-work/
