Is 75,000 Hilton Points a Lot?
At first glance, 75,000 Hilton points might look like a lot of points, but you might be wondering what that amount of points will get you. The short answer is, not as much as you might think.
The highest priced Hilton properties are 70,000 – 95,000 points, so this bonus is only good for a one night stay at those locations. However, you can get multiple Hilton nights at a property with a lower award rate. Some of Hiltons with the lowest award rates are only 5,000-10,000 points per night, so you could get between 7 and 15 free nights with this offer. This could be appealing for families or those who like to stay at lower end properties.
In addition, Hilton points can be used for points and cash stays, and to upgrade your room to a premium room.
An offer of 75,000 bonus points on a no annual fee hotel card is definitely attention grabbing. Although Hilton reward pricing isn't the most lucrative, you could still redeem 75,000 Hilton points for two nights at a mid-tier hotel, or for more nights at a lower end property. And if you already have Hilton Honors points, then adding 75,000 more points could go a long way!
Whether this card is right for you really depends on your travel needs and goals, and if Hilton is your hotel brand of choice. All in all, this is certainly a hotel card worth considering!
