Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia have had a long-standing commercial partnership. While this may come as a surprise, given that Singapore Airlines is a Star Alliance member and Garuda Indonesia belongs to SkyTeam, this partnership is expanding. In short order, the carriers will expand reciprocal benefits for GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer members and increase capacity between Singapore and Indonesia.
