Visa Infinite Travel Benefits
One of the best perks of being a Visa Infinite cardholder is getting travel perks and protections. Some of these are automatic just for being a cardholder, while others are unlocked by using your card to purchase travel. Here's a deeper dive into the Visa Infinite travel benefits.
Visa Infinite Luxury Hotel Collection

Global Entry or TSA PreCheck statement credit
Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that provides expedited security clearance for pre-approved travelers upon arrival in the United States at select airports via automatic kiosks, including pre-clearance at some airports abroad. Global Entry automatically grants TSA PreCheck benefits, meaning applying for Global Entry is usually better than just enrolling for TSA PreCheck, though it does require an interview (and interviews can be hard to secure).
Visa Infinite cards typically offer up to $120 in Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit every four years. To receive this credit, charge the application fee to your card, and the fee will be reimbursed as a statement credit.
Remember that the Global Entry application need not be for the primary cardmember. You can use the credit for anyone, including family and friends. Simply charge the application fee to your credit card, and the fee will be reimbursed. I know this works from personal experience, as I have several cards with this benefit!

Visa Infinite car rental privileges
Reserve and pay for your rental car with your Visa Infinite card, decline the rental agency’s collision or loss damage waiver (CDW or LDW) coverage, and you will receive coverage for theft, damage, and loss of use. You receive primary coverage, so you do not have to file a claim with any other applicable insurance first.
Note that this covers your rental vehicle, not damage caused by the renter to other vehicles or property. You'll need to charge the rental to your Visa Infinite card to trigger this benefit.

Lounge Access via Priority Pass Select
Most Visa Infinite cards offer a Priority Pass Select membership for as long as you hold the card, providing access to 1,700+ airline lounges worldwide. Each card has different rules and levels of access, and some don't include access to Priority Pass restaurants. Be sure to consult your benefits guide for specifics for each card.
Crucially, you'll need to enroll in this benefit to receive your Priority Pass membership. Your Visa Infinite card isn't your membership card to enter the lounges.
Travel credits and airline incidental statement credits
Certain Visa Infinite cards offer rebates for air travel-related fees like accelerated airport security programs, checked luggage charges, in-flight food, and more. These benefits differ between the various Visa Infinite cards, but here's a list of the cards that offer an airline statement credit:
- Chase Sapphire Reserve®: Up to $300 annual travel credit, which automatically applies to purchases that code as travel from the merchant.
- Bank of America® Premium Rewards® Elite Credit Card: Get up to $300 annually in airline incidental statement credits for qualifying purchases such as seat upgrades, baggage fees, airline lounge fees, and in-flight services.
- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card: Enjoy a $300 annual travel credit, though travel must be booked through the Capital One Travel portal.
- Crystal® Visa Infinite® Credit Card: Get a $350 airline incidentals credit, which applies only to U.S. domestic carriers and covers ticket change/cancellation fees, checked baggage fees, in-flight entertainment, onboard food and beverage charges, airport lounge membership fees and day passes, onboard wireless charges, and TSA PreCheck membership application fee transactions, and may vary depending on the airline.
- UBS Visa Infinite credit card: Cardholders can utilize a $250 airline incidentals credit but must enroll in UBS Online Services and select an eligible domestic U.S. carrier. The benefit covers ticket change/cancellation fees, checked baggage fees, seat upgrades, etc.
- U.S. Bank Altitude™ Reserve Visa Infinite® Card (not open to new applicants): A $325 annual travel and dining credit automatically applies to purchases that code as travel and dining from the merchant.
- J.P. Morgan Reserve card: $300 flexible travel credit.
- The Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card: $300 annual travel credit to be used on ancillary airline fees.
As you can see, these benefits can vary based on the card you hold, so it's important to read the fine print (or our reviews!) of each card.
Visa Infinite Concierge services
The Visa Infinite concierge offers services similar to those provided by concierge services on other premium cards. The concierge can assist you with a wide range of activities, including making reservations at local restaurants and spas, booking hard-to-get theatre tickets, arranging flower delivery, and scheduling car servicing.
The concierge service will charge the associated card for the bill, but you won't have to pay anything for the services, and they are available 24/7 every day of the year. You can reach a concierge at 1-800-587-2700 or 303-214-5802 (if outside of the USA).

Relais & Château luxury properties special benefits
Relais & Château properties are spread out around the world in some swanky destinations. Over 200 participating properties allow Visa Infinite cardholders some special perks, including room upgrades based on availability, a daily breakfast for all members of your party, and a VIP welcome. You will need to authenticate your card to take advantage of these benefits.
Universal Studios perks and savings
Universal theme parks offer special perks when you pay with your Visa Infinite card.
At Universal Orlando, you can enjoy a 3-day ticket for the price of a 2-day ticket, a complimentary appetizer with lunch when purchasing two adult entrees, and more. At Universal Studios Hollywood, you can also save on tickets, score cheap food, and save on merchandise. Simply book online with your eligible Visa card to take advantage of these benefits.
Additional Visa Infinite Benefits
Visa Infinite cardholders also get access to select high-end benefits — from exclusive golf tee times to exclusive concerts.
Discount golf
Your Visa Infinite card entitles you to automatic Platinum Status when you sign up for Troon Rewards®, providing a 20% saving on golf fees, merchandise, and lessons at over 150 golf courses across the United States and around the world. Your Visa Infinite card also gives access to over 20 high-end, private Troon Privé golf clubs. Play each club two times per year for $99 per player per round when you use your Visa Infinite card to book, plus bring up to three guests at the same rate.
As someone who's obsessed with golf, this benefit has saved me hundreds of dollars over the years. It helps that I live in Scottsdale, Arizona, next to a Troon facility, but this is one of my favorite “secret” benefits of the Visa Infinite cards!

Access top restaurants with the Visa Dining Collection
Visa and OpenTable have a partnership dubbed the “Visa Dining Collection.” Available in 30+ cities in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, the partnership promises exclusive tables at some of the city's best restaurants.
Final Thoughts
The Visa Infinite family of credit cards offers a variety of benefits to enhance your travel and protect you while doing so. Whether it's the allure of premium travel benefits, concierge services, or access to some of the world's best golf courses, Visa Infinite cards have a lot to offer.

would love to have these cards in Europe. Why we can’t apply?
This is simply how the finance/credit card industry in the US works. That isn’t to say you couldn’t try to establish credit in the US, but most credit card issuers (including banks like Chase) require you to have a US Social Security Number to apply for a credit card.
That’s a lot of perks.
Every time I read more about the CSR, I know I should upgrade my CSP. For my travel and spending habits, it’s almost a no-brainer. Just the idea of having 3! 450 dollar fee cards in my wallet is difficult to wrap my brain around. Despite the fact that I logically know that they ALL will pay for themselves.
A great outline of all the benefits.
solid benefits for this annual fees, but i still prefer my Amex.
For annual fees of $450+, the benefits need to be pretty solid…
The CSP has so many benefits, these extra infinite (non) benefits don’t really add much..
Visa Infinite benefits don’t add much? The Global Entry credit, and Priority Pass lounge access (yes, it’s the good version where entry is free rather than just discounted) are very valuable.
Thanks for the detailed info!
do you still earn hotel points if booked through Visa?
Based on our experience, 100% time, yes.
Nice helpful article.
I’m still a bit puzzled how different visa infinite cards have different benefits, but I learned a lot from this article.
Thanks!
Who decides what cards qualify as Visa Infinite?
The card issuer and Visa work together to create a product.
That’s interesting. I wonder how the $100 airfare discount compares to looking for a discount fare on your own, or are your selections limited, eliminating lower price options.
Visa infinite privileges in US are way better than Canada
Agreed, along with the entire credit card portfolio. It’s way more competitive and consumer oriented in the USA.
Another challenge is that it seems that the Visa benefits are country specific. EG: A Canadian Visa Infinite card will not get you into a Mexico City Visa Infinite Benefit lounges. Amex does not have this issue.
The visa infinite benefits are great! I can’t wait til my 5/24 period is over so I can open a new one!
ok, i keep seeing this (sorry newbie here!) what does 5/24 mean?
See here: https://awardwallet.com/blog/chase-524-policy-work/
thanks! ok more great info to read… how to get any work done -ever! there is so much to learn. cheers
very nice perks. ok, I am staying the CSR for another year!
love the airline benefits. Thank you for the note.
Does MasterCard have a tier that’s somewhat comparable to Visa Infinite?
World Elite is tops as far as I can see.
So Visa Infinite is almost more like a category of cards? A type of card? Proud CSR member interested in learning about other great, similar cards, but if there’s a huge overlap, maybe I need to look elsewhere?
Honestly, the only benefit I wish were on the CSR that isn’t that is available on other Infinite cards is the $100 air travel discount. I wouldn’t look elsewhere.
I’m the idiot who signed up for TSA Precheck and NOT Global Entry, not knowing the former was included in the latter. I thought Precheck was more valuable because since my wife wouldn’t have Global Entry, we would end up on separate lines at immigration (at least with PreCheck it’s only on entry and the difference isn’t as big)
Wish Ritz had a better travel credit. Shame I can’t get a CSR anymore.
I love my Chase Sapphire Reserve and I feel the benefits to me is greater than the $450 annual fee.
The golf one was one I didn’t know about until recently. I need to polish up on my game. 🙂
They also from time to time offer specials. Nothing of note, but sometimes they have buy one get one movie deals, etc. At least in the past for Infinite (and even Signature) cards.
Guys, the blog is becoming a swamp of credit card advertisements…. Until recently the posts were much more informative
Nuno, sorry you feel that way. I hope you’ll continue to receive value from the information we receive, but with credit cards and their benefits being a significant part of the points and travel experience for the U.S. we’ll continue to cover them extensively. Honestly, we haven’t changed our approach at all in the past 18 months.
I rather like the posts detailing the benefits of cards many of us already have.
Making it harder for me to give up my Chase Sapphire Reserve.. but I can’t justify the AF.
