Good news for Wyndham Rewards members who don't mind sitting through a timeshare presentation. You can book a three-night stay for as little as $199, plus earn 15,000 bonus Wyndham Rewards points. There are some caveats to earning the points, though. Here are the details of this promotion, and how you can take advantage of it.

Wyndham Timeshare Locations

If you're not familiar with them, timeshares are properties at Wyndham Resorts that travelers can purchase an ownership stake in, with a segment of time at that property allocated to each owner. There are 11 cities with Wyndham Resorts timeshare properties:

$199 for 3 Nights Plus 15,000 Bonus Points Promotion

Through a current promotion, travelers can book a three-night stay at each of these timeshares for $199 total — with the exception of New York. The New York timeshare costs $249 for the same three-night package. Normally, these packages range from $1,242 to $1,692, so this can be quite the deal!

Wyndham Timeshares Promotion

And the discount is only half the promotion here. Wyndham Rewards members can earn an additional 15,000 bonus points when booking one of these timeshare packages. With Wyndham Rewards points currently valued at 1.17¢ cents each, that's like getting around a $175 bonus on your stay. That almost fully offsets the $199 package price!

Past promotions have offered members as many as 30,000 bonus points or a large gift card. At this time, these promotions don't seem to be available, but it might be worth asking for more points when booking.

The big catch to taking advantage of this promotion is that members must attend a 2-hour timeshare sales presentation with the Offering Developer and meet the eligibility requirements. The sales presentation will be a hard-sell pitch to get you to purchase a timeshare, which you're free to accept or decline. You will receive your bonus points voucher and package discount each way.

It's important that you show up to the presentation with this package. If you don't, you will be charged an additional $150 per night of your sta

Timeshare packages must be booked at least 14 days before check-in. The stay must be completed within 12 months from the date of booking. Four guests are able to stay with each package, two adults and two children. It has been reported that some parents have brought their children to the presentation, which was fine with the salesmen. At this time, there is no expiration date listed for this promotion.

Note that members don't get the 15,000 bonus points directly. Instead, members receive a certificate worth 15,000 points, which they must redeem within 90 days of acquisition.

  • General eligibility requirements include being fluent in English, can't be intoxicated during the presentation, and must bring a valid ID and credit card.
  • Non-members must wait 90 days between presentations and owners must wait 30 days.
  • A maximum of 4 presentations can be attended each calendar year.

Our Take

Not everyone wants to sit for a two-hour sales pitch. Also, some Wyndham members won't be able to meet the requirements to attend a timeshare presentation. However, getting 15,000 bonus points and paying just $199 for a three-night stay is quite a tempting incentive.

However, if you meet the requirements and are willing to listen to the presentation, this is a pretty nice promotion. Remember that there are regular Wyndham promotions that can offer even more bonus points. It might be worth waiting for a good one of those instead.

Are you eligible to attend a timeshare presentation? Would you take advantage of this promotion?
