Ever wanted to visit Fiji — or beyond to somewhere else in Oceania? American Airlines is running a flash sale for AAdvantage members through October 15, 2025, for flights in 2026 on partner Fiji Airways. You'll need to move fast to take advantage of the discounted pricing, so let's quickly go over the sale and what you need to know before you book.
Fly to Fiji from 35k AAdvantage Miles in Economy, 70k in Business
From now until October 15, 2025, AAdvantage members can book nonstop Fiji Airways flights for as low as 35,000 miles for economy, or 70,000 miles for business. Valid flights for this sale depart from Fiji's gateway airports in the United States, including:
- Dallas Fort-Worth (DFW)
- Los Angeles (LAX)
- San Francisco (SFO)
Valid dates for travel for the sale are January 20 through May 31, 2026. When we performed an award search for valid dates, we saw plenty of economy availability.
Business class awards are much harder to find, but the low prices do exist.
Note that typically, the AAdvantage program prices Fiji Airways flights dynamically, typically costing a minimum of 40,000 miles in economy and 80,000 miles in business class.
While Fiji is the advertised destination of this sale, we found incredibly priced economy flights to Auckland, as low as 25,000 miles in economy on AA's direct flight from DFW. You'll have to survive over 15 hours in economy, though, so bring your neck pillow.
Keep in mind the weather patterns for the destination you ultimately plan to visit. Fiji's low season is November through April, which might mean more rain during your visit. By contrast, it should also result in lower-than-average hotel prices and better award availability at hotels like the Sheraton Fiji.
AAdvantage award sale terms and conditions
To take advantage of the sale, there are a few key details to be aware of:
- Offer is valid for reservations made through October 15, 2025
- Valid for travel from January 20, 2026, through May 31, 2026.
- Valid only on flights operated by American Airlines, American Eagle, and Fiji Airways.
Our advice for readers is to check any travel already booked to the South Pacific during the valid travel dates, to see if you can score lower pricing for your travel. AAdvantage allows for free cancellations on award tickets, so there's no cost to switch.

Bottom Line
If you're interested in taking a trip to Fiji in 2026 and have a nice stockpile of AAdvantage miles, it makes sense to consider this sale. Even better, direct flights to desirable destinations like Auckland are available as well. Remember that you must book by Wednesday, October 15, 2025, to take part in the reduced award pricing.
