If you're planning to book your next IHG stay with cash instead of points, you might as well save some money by taking advantage of a significant discount. Currently, travelers can save up to 28% off stays at newly opened IHG hotels in select regions, up to a 20% discount when you book a stay with a Visa or Mastercard, and more.

Score up to a 28% Discount at Newly Opened IHG Hotels
IHG regularly offers discounted stays at new hotels. And now is no exception. These ongoing promotions have no set expiration dates. Instead, members must stay at the hotel within six months of opening. Members can book up to three months before the opening, but must be at least three days before the stay.
In addition, the minimum stay requirements vary by property, but can be as short as one night. To qualify for the discount, you must book and prepay at least three days before your arrival. But please note these bookings are non-refundable and cannot be changed.
Be sure to check the hotel’s individual page to confirm its grand opening date and verify when the offer applies, as they all differ.

This is the promotion for stays in Europe, including the UK and Ireland. Travelers can save up to 15% off standard rates, and IHG members receive an additional 10% discount. The following hotels are newly opened or upcoming as of November 2025:

Unlock up to a 20% Discount When You Book a Stay With a Visa Card
Visa cardholders can save up to 20% on stays at select IHG properties across Asia and Oceania. To qualify, you must book by December 31, 2025, and complete your stay by January 3, 2026. The stay must include a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night, and be booked at least seven days in advance.
This offer is only available to residents of the following countries: Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Maldives, Laos, Japan, Micronesia, Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Islands. The discount applies automatically to the Best Flexible Rate but won’t appear during a standard search on IHG’s site.
Stays of any length are eligible. And you can cancel for free up to seven days before arrival. After that, a one-night charge applies. Be sure to book through the promotion page to access the offer and review the full terms.
Up to 15% Off in East Asia and Oceania
IHG also offers a similar 15% discount for Mastercard cardholders who book stays through a special link. Use a Mastercard to book a stay in select countries and save 15% off the Best Flexible Rate. This promotion is valid on stays booked by December 31, 2025, and completed by January 3, 2026.
This offer is restricted to cardholders residing in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Maldives, Laos, Japan, Micronesia, Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific Islands.
Up to 30% Off Dining Bills in Central Asia and Africa
Through December 30, 2025, IHG One Rewards members can save up to 30% off their total dining bill at participating hotel restaurants in select Asian and African countries. Silver and Gold Elite members get a 25% discount, while Platinum Elite members (and above) get 30% off their bill. Plus, members receive 100 bonus points for every $10 spent at the restaurant.
The discount applies to up to 8 people on the same bill, and only one discount is valid per bill per meal. Some restaurants may have a minimum spend threshold. Taxes, gratuities, and service charges are not discounted.
Maximize What You Spend on Your IHG Stay
One thing all of these IHG discount promotions have in common is that they apply to paid rates, which means there’s a great opportunity to earn lots of rewards if you pay with the right card. While several travel cards offer solid returns on hotel spending, you’ll maximize your earnings by using an IHG credit card.
IHG offers three co-branded credit cards, and depending on which one you use, you can earn up to 26X total points per dollar spent at IHG Hotels & Resorts.
