SPG has announced a promo where you can earn 250 bonus Starpoints when you check-in via the SPG mobile app. Mobile check-in is available when you book directly with SPG, through the website, or via the mobile app. About 72 to 48 hours prior to your stay you will be notified if you want to check-in via the mobile app. Once you have, on the day of your stay you will receive a notification when your room is ready, and your key is at the front desk.

Our Take

This the perfect kind of promotion: minimal effort required for a modest gain. 250 bonus Starpoints may not seem much, but they do add up quickly especially if you have several stays planned. Bear in mind that Starpoints are quite valuable and that in August 2018 they will be converted to Marriott Rewards points at a ratio of 1:3.
