Miles & More is the loyalty program for Lufthansa and several other airlines in the Lufthansa Group. Each month, the program offers what it calls Mileage Bargains, giving travelers the chance to book discounted round-trip award tickets for about half the usual mileage.
In April 2026, travelers can book one (or multiple) of seven different bargains, three of which are in economy, three in premium economy, and one in business class.
If that number seems small, you're right. Back in the day, there were often more than a hundred bargains available each month. That number shrank significantly once Miles & More switched to dynamic pricing and returned its Mileage Bargains program after a short hiatus.
Wondering what deals are available this month? Here's what you need to know and what you might consider booking instead.

What Is Miles & More Mileage Bargains?
Miles & More Mileage Bargains — also referred to as Lufthansa Mileage Bargains — offer discounted award flights on select routes, sometimes by over 50%. Miles & More offers discounts on economy, premium economy, and business class awards, depending on the route.

These monthly discounts apply to specific origin and destination pairs. Travelers can filter available routes by origin, destination, cabin, airline, and other criteria.
And although dynamic pricing throws a wrench into things, you can book awards from North America to destinations in Europe starting at the following rates (plus taxes and fees).
- 25,000 miles round-trip in economy class.
- 42,000 miles round-trip in premium economy.
- 61,000 miles round-trip in business class.

Miles & More Mileage Bargains Examples for April 2026
If you remember the heyday of Miles & More Mileage Bargains, with hundreds of eligible routes across business, premium economy, and economy class, we’re sad to report that the April 2026 offers are, well, underwhelming by comparison.
Still, there are seven deals available from three U.S. gateways:
- New York (JFK) to Brussels (BRU) on Brussels Airlines
- Round-trip economy for 25,000 miles (travel between July 15 and September 30, 2026)
- Round-trip premium economy for 42,000 miles (travel between July 15 and September 30, 2026)
- San Francisco (SFO) to Warsaw (WAW) on LOT Polish Airlines
- Round-trip economy for 25,000 miles (travel between May 1 and June 30, 2026)
- Round-trip premium economy for 42,000 miles (travel between May 1 and June 30, 2026)
- Round-trip business class for 61,000 miles (travel between May 1 and June 30, 2026)
- Washington, D.C. (IAD) to Brussels (BRU) on Brussels Airlines
- Round-trip economy for 25,000 miles (travel between July 15 and September 30, 2026)
- Round-trip premium economy for 42,000 miles (travel between July 15 and September 30, 2026)

Not sold on these? There are cheaper alternatives for getting to Europe with fewer miles, some of which cost even less than the lowest Mileage Bargain rates.
Cheap alternatives to Miles & More Mileage Bargains
So, about those cheap Miles & More Mileage Bargains alternatives…
You don’t have to believe it, but Miles & More sometimes charges as few as 86 miles (not a typo!) for one-way flights from the U.S. to Europe, plus taxes and fees. That means you could book something like LOT Polish Airlines economy from Los Angeles (LAX) to Warsaw (WAW) for 86 miles plus less than €80.
Cheap awards like this are one of the biggest upsides of the program’s shift to dynamic pricing.

Business class is more expensive, starting at around 40,000 miles per way through Miles & More. These aren’t Mileage Bargain rates, but they can still offer decent value. The catch is that taxes and fees are often steep. That said, there’s a workaround: You can redeem more miles on certain flights to reduce your out-of-pocket cost.
For example, you could book Toronto (YYZ) to Warsaw (WAW) via Frankfurt (FRA) in Lufthansa business class for 39,158 miles plus €887 (ouch) or opt for LOT Polish Airlines business class for 62,500 miles plus about €100. In this case, redeeming more miles could be well worth it.

Earning Miles & More Miles
Earning Miles & More miles is now a little easier than it used to be. In November 2025, the program became a 1:1 transfer partner of Rove Miles. This is a big deal, as there aren't many other ways to earn Miles & More miles.
If you're short on Rove Miles, remember that you can always apply for the Miles & More® World Elite Mastercard®. This $89-annual-fee card comes with an 60,000-mile sign-up bonus after spending $3,000 on purchases and pay the annual fee, both within the first 90 days.

You can also buy Miles & More miles (sometimes with a bonus or discount) to top off your account with Miles & More miles. Alternatively, you can sign up for ASmallWorld Prestige membership to get a couple hundred thousand Miles & More miles in one fell swoop.
If you need to combine forces with a “player 2“, the Miles & More program supports mileage pooling for families.

Our Take
Miles & More Mileage Bargains offer deep discounts on flights across a variety of routes, airlines, and cabin classes. Occasionally, these discounts include routes from the U.S. to Europe, and we’re happy to report that April 2026 is one of those now rare months.
Just note that the booking window ends on April 30, 2026, and the travel window varies depending on the airline and cabin you book.
Most importantly, these awards are non-changeable and non-refundable, so you should be certain of your plans before booking. While mileage requirements can be significantly lower than standard rates, taxes and fees aren’t discounted and can add up quickly, even in economy.
