Amex is offering cardholders of the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card up to 30,000 bonus points on eligible spending through April 30, 2025. These offers give up to a 2.5X spending bonus on top of earning up to 6X rewards with the card. However, cardholders must enroll by January 31, 2025. Here are the details of this Amex spending promotion.
Up to 30,000 Bonus Points with Marriott Bonvoy Business Card Spending Promotion
Marriott seems to have sent two versions of this promotion to targeted Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card holders. The first offers 5,000 bonus points after spending at least $2,000, and the other offers 15,000 bonus points after spending $7,000. Both offers can be claimed twice for a total of 30,000 bonus points. If you carry a Marriott Bonvoy Business Card, log into your Amex account and check your offers section to see which offer is available to you.

First, targeted cardholders must register for their offer by January 31, 2025. After registering, they must hit the minimum spend threshold (either $2,000 or $7,000) by April 30, 2025. With the $2,000 spend offer, they will get 5,000 bonus points, while the $7,000 spend offer gives 15,000 bonus points. Either offer can be repeated twice for up to 30,000 bonus points.
The Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card offers up to 6X rewards on eligible spending:
- 6x Marriott Bonvoy points on each dollar of eligible purchases at hotels participating in the Marriott Bonvoy® program.
- 4x Marriott Bonvoy points on each dollar of eligible purchases made at restaurants worldwide, at U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers and on U.S. purchases for shipping
- 2x Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card points per dollar on all other eligible purchases
The promotion for 5,000 bonus points after $2,000 in spending offers up to an additional 2.5X points on all spending. The promotion for 15,000 bonus points offers up to an additional 2.14X points. That means you can earn up to 8.5X Bonvoy points on card spending through this offer.

Our Take
Earning 5,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 is not a bad deal. That's another 2.5X rewards, on top of at least 2X points with the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card. Even everyday spending earns up to 4.5X rewards when achieving the $2,000 spending threshold.
The other offer — 15,000 bonus points after spending $7,000 — offers more points but requires a lot more spending. This might not attract as many takers unless they are business travelers who plan to stay at many Marriotts by the end of April.
If eligible, ensure you register by January 31, 2025. Thereafter, reach the minimum spend threshold by April 30 to collect your bonus points.
