Flying Blue has released its latest Promo Rewards for the month of February. In the latest promotion, routes between Europe and North America are few and far between compared to months in the past, though discounts are available in economy, premium economy, and business class. Book flights by February 29, 2020, for travel from March 31, 2020, through May 30, 2020.
North American Discounts
During this month’s Flying Blue Promo Rewards, enjoy either a 25% or 50% discount on flights between North America and Europe. Discounts vary by city and class of cabin and include routes between Europe and the following cities:
Boston (50% discount)
Boston (25% discount)
Mexico City (50% discount)
Calgary (25% discount)
Toronto (25% discount)
Discounts for Global Destinations
The list of long-haul discounts outside North America is notably shorter than we've seen in previous Promo Rewards lineups. For those traveling to the Middle East, Bahrain and Kuwait have a 50% and 25% discount (respectively) for both economy and business class. You'll also find a 50% business-class discount on flights between Europe and East Africa via Lome, Togo and a 50% discount on premium-economy awards to Antananarivo, Madagascar. For short-haul flights within Europe, be sure to check the city pairs for a 40% economy discount (prices range from 3,600–7,800 miles).
Keep in mind that Flying Blue does not have a published award chart, but you can check how many miles are required for a given award using their award calculator.
- Bookings must be made by February 29, 2020.
- Travel window is from March 31, 2020, through May 30, 2020.
- Bookings only valid if made via KLM.com or AirFrance.com; phone bookings are not possible.

Flying Blue Transfer Partners
If you are short on miles, Flying Blue has an expansive network of partnerships. Flying Blue is one of the few frequent flyer programs that is a transfer partner of all major transferable points programs. Transfer ratios vary from program to program, and they typically post instantly, except with Marriott Bonvoy, which can take up to three days. A number of sweet spots exist within the program, including these Promo Rewards.
Flying Blue Promo Awards can be a little hit-and-miss sometimes; this month is a bit of a miss for those in the United States wishing to take advantage of Flying Blue Promo Rewards to reach Europe. Still, discounts of up to 50% represent a 2-for-1 deal for traveling couples, or the opportunity to take twice as many trips with the same miles for solo travelers. One thing to remember: if you see a route that interests you, it is best to book ASAP since there is limited availability and the best routes get snapped up quickly. However, keep in mind that Promo Reward tickets cannot be modified, canceled, or refunded outside the 24-hour grace period.
