Citi ThankYou Points do not transfer to any hotel programs. A relationship with Hilton Honors previously existed, however, with the Hilton co-brand credit card relationship moving to American Express, the termination of this relationship was to be expected.
Which Cards Earn Citi ThankYou Points
There are four cards that will currently earn you Citi ThankYou Points (not including those that are currently no longer available for new applications). The cards are:
- Citi ThankYou® Preferred Card
- Citi Premier® Card
- Citi Prestige® Card
- AT&T Access Card from Citi
Other Ways To Use Citi ThankYou Points
Despite not having any hotel transfer partners, the Citi ThankYou Rewards program is still a solid reward program with 15 airline transfer partners. Additionally, you can always redeem your ThankYou Points through the ThankYou Rewards travel portal for a hotel room.

Great info. Citi is ok, but compared to chase UR no competition.
More options are always a good thing but I think transfers to airline partners are a better value.
Airline points are more important than hotel points anyway, so I’d rather it had a good range of airlines instead of hotel options. Other cards are always available to collect hotel points.
Its odd how not all TYP can be transferred. Retention bonus points, CS points, etc., can not be transferred.
thanks for this write up. i have a small ty balance from a card i hardly used. I needed to transfer it over before i forget about it and let it expire, or worst (and i have done this before) close the account and lose all the points 🙁
The only program I’ll use for transfers in general is Hyatt from UR. I have used a few MR points to top up Hilton for a specific award or UR to Marriott for Marriott or SPG. Otherwise, too many points without enough value
Haven’t had a TYP card since last year. Not enough transfer partners and redeeming was just a huge pain.
Having the option is always good, but TY transfers to Hilton were a “bad” value anyway, unless topping off for a particular award. I agree with others that UR points are more valuable, but even with Chase’s hotel transfer partners, Hyatt is the only one I’d ever consider transferring points to.
Thanks for the info.
citipoints just aren’t as valuable to me as CSR its, so I’ll stick with CSR for now.
This isn’t convincing me to get a Citi card.
I don’t yet have any cards that earn Citi ThankYou Points. I have been considering it since I love the flexibility of Ultimate Rewards and Amex Points. Now that I see their fewer transfer partners, I’ll likely just continue with my current programs.
I suspect that they may add a partner at some point!
hotel transfers were never as good as airline transfers anyhow
thanks for the headsup
That’s a bit unfortunate, I wonder if they’ll add hotel programs soon
That sucks witch Hilton out.
Citi needs to seriously up its game in terms of hotel transfer partners
