Hilton Honors is running its second quarter Unlimited Bonus promotion which will earn you double bonus points for every dollar spent.

Running from May 1 through August 31, 2016, Hilton's latest four-month promotion is essentially a rehash of its last one minus the ability to earn double miles.

You have to register for this promotion before check-in to qualify for the bonus points which means stays booked before the promotion will still count as long as you signup prior to your booking. All of Hilton's brands are participating in this promotion, but it pays to check the Terms and Conditions as the FAQ page mentions a list of ineligible rates.

Breaking down the Earning Potential

To help you maximize the value out of Hiltons latest promotion we've put together the numbers below. First, if you have Honors elite status, you receive between 1.5/5 bonus points per dollar. We'll work off Gold status from here in, but you can adjust accordingly.

  • Silver = 1.5
  • Gold = 2.5
  • Diamond = 5

Per $1 Spent:

  • 10 Base Points as Honors member
  • 10 bonus points from Honors Unlimited Bonus promotion
  • 5 bonus points if account set to Points + Points
  • 2.5 bonus points as Honors Gold

There is not enough value there to switch paid stays to Hilton on the monetary value alone, particularly if you are committed to working another summer promotion, but Hilton is at least consistent in its back to back double-up promotions and there is good value if combined with Hilton's generous elite benefits.
