Each month brings with it new Flying Blue Promo Awards, during which you can book certain routes using Flying Blue miles at a discount that range up to 50%. Because Flying Blue is the frequent flyer program of both Air France and KLM, you can expect to see discount flights on both of these airlines.
How Flying Blue Promo Awards Work
- Book your award flight online with Air France or KLM (phone bookings don’t qualify for the discount).
- These sale fares are only available for booking during March 2017, so book by the end of the month to take advantage of them.
- Flying Blue Promo Awards are nonrefundable and cannot be changed. As usual, you’ll still need to pay taxes, fees, and surcharges.

- Accra, Ghana
- Dakar, Senegal
- Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
- Astana, Kazakhstan
- Beirut, Lebanon
- Cairo, Egypt
- Dammam, Saudi Arabia
- Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Flying Blue Miles Transfer Partners
If you are short a few miles, Flying Blue has a well-developed partnership with all four major transferable point programs. You can transfer points from American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, and Marriott Rewards.
The Flying Blue monthly sale is a great option and something you should keep an eye out for, especially if you have some travel to Europe coming up in the next few months. To make things even easier, you can transfer your membership rewards to Flying Blue if you need additional miles to redeem for your booking.
