This month’s awards are for travel between December 1, 2018, and January 31, 2019. Bookings must be completed by October 30, 2018.

Options For North America

There are plenty of choices on flights between Europe to North America this month. While most routes are in business class and discounted by 25%, there are some great options for travel between Vancouver, Seattle, and Europe. Highlights from this month include:

  • Seattle – 50% off Business
  • Vancouver – 50% off Business
  • Montreal – 25% off Economy and Business
  • Calgary – 25% off Business
  • Toronto – 25% off Business
  • Edmonton – 25% off Business
  • Washington – 25% off Business

Other Global Destinations

It comes as no surprise that there are some excellent opportunities for travel from Europe to other worldwide destinations. The class of travel varies for each destination. The following destinations all benefit from a 50% discount this month:

  • Osaka in Business, Premium Economy, and Economy
  • Rio De Janeiro, in Premium Economy
  • Sao Paulo, in Premium Economy
  • Dubai, in Premium Economy

Within Europe, there are various options, with many routes discounted by up to 40%.

How To Work Out The Cost Of Your Award

Flying Blue has developed an award calculator to indicate how many miles your ticket will cost. The calculator gives the standard pricing for the award, and then you will need to discount the figure by the percentage offered in the Flying Blue promo reward. For instance, Paris to Washington with Air France will typically set you back 27,500 miles one-way in Economy. With a discount of 50%, you would need 13,750 miles for a one-way award ticket in Economy.

Following from the changes made to Flying Blue Promo Rewards in June 2018, you cannot make connections and still benefit from the award, and you cannot use two promo reward destinations and benefit from cumulative pricing.

Key Points To Remember

  • Flights need to be booked by October 30, 2018
  • Bookings only valid if made via KLM.com or AirFrance.com; phone bookings are not possible
  • Tickets cannot be canceled, changed, or refunded

Our Take

This month’s Flying Blue Promo Rewards gets a thumbs up from us. With multiple destinations in the US and Canada, premium cabins, some routes discounted by up to 50%, and the travel period covering the Christmas vacation period, there is nothing not to like this month.

  • Laura Denis says:

Love when Flying Blue has 50% off business class! This is an amazing deal 🙂

    • Exactly. Seemed like Flying Blue was moving away from offering discounts on J… nice to see that offered again.

  • I looked up some dates from Washington DC, but they are selling business class for 200,000 miles, so a 25% “discount” isn’t really a deal.

  • It’s good to see them continuing these promos!

  • This is a great deal for the flights out of Vancouver. I’ll have to see if any dates are available that I take advantage. If not, I have some friends who might like to know about it. The opportunity to go to Europe in business class for such a small amount of points is great. Thanks for the information.
