Air Canada has launched a new worldwide Aeroplan promotion. Members can earn up to 5X bonus points on eligible paid economy flights throughout the airline's network.

No registration is required. However, you'll need to book by September 3, 2026, and fly during November 2026. Here's what you need to know.

Earn Up to 5X Bonus Aeroplan Points on Worldwide Flights

Through September 3, 2026, Aeroplan members can earn up to 5X bonus Aeroplan points on new eligible Air Canada economy bookings to destinations throughout the airline's worldwide network. Air Canada automatically applies the promotion, so no registration or promotion code is required.

Here are the key details:

  • Booking window: New bookings made from August 26, 2026, at 9 a.m. Eastern Time through September 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time
  • Travel window: November 1–30, 2026
  • Eligible destinations: Any destination in Air Canada's worldwide network served by an eligible Air Canada-operated flight
  • Eligible fares: Economy Standard, Flex, Comfort, and Latitude fares
  • Eligible flights: Flights operated by Air Canada, Air Canada Express, or Air Canada Rouge
  • Ineligible bookings: Economy Basic fares, award bookings, points-and-cash bookings, codeshare and partner flights, interline flights, Air Canada Vacations bookings, and specialty fares

One important distinction: Air Canada describes this as up to 5X bonus points, not 5X total points. In the airline's example, C$1,000 in eligible base fare and carrier surcharges may earn 1,000 base Aeroplan points plus 5,000 bonus points — for 6,000 total Aeroplan points.

Taxes, fees, and third-party charges don't earn points. The promotional multiplier also doesn't apply to other bonuses or the Aeroplan Elite Points Multiplier. Bonus points don't count as Status Qualifying Credits, Lifetime Qualifying Miles, or Everyday Status Qualification and may take up to six weeks after travel to post.

Important Terms for the Current Air Canada Promotion

Beyond the fare and flight restrictions outlined above, keep these terms in mind:

  • The reservation must be created during the promotion period with a new booking reference number. Changing a previously booked itinerary won't make it eligible.
  • Points are calculated on the base fare and carrier surcharges in Canadian dollars. Tickets purchased in another currency will be converted to Canadian dollars before points are calculated.
  • The promotional multiplier doesn't apply to another bonus offer or multiplier, including the Aeroplan Elite Points Multiplier.
  • Aeroplan members traveling on the same reservation can each earn bonus points on their eligible flights.
  • No points will be awarded for a booking that is canceled or refunded.
  • Bonus Aeroplan points should post within six weeks after completing the eligible flight.

Other Ways to Earn Air Canada Aeroplan Points

Air Canada promotions aren't the only way to earn extra Aeroplan points. If you need more points, you have several avenues to earn plenty of them:

Our Take

Air Canada's newest Aeroplan promotion is broad by destination but narrow by timing. If you already plan to fly Air Canada in economy during November, earning up to 5X bonus points without registering provides a meaningful extra return.

Still, don't choose a more expensive fare or less convenient flight solely for the bonus. Economy Basic fares don't qualify, and the multiplier applies only to the base fare and carrier surcharges. Compare the total cost, then book by September 3, 2026 if the offer makes sense for your travel plans.
