Capital One QuicksilverOne Benefits
No foreign transaction fees
One standout feature of Capital One's credit cards is that there are no foreign transaction fees. It's rare among the major credit card issuers to offer no foreign transaction fees on all of its credit cards. If you frequently travel internationally or make purchases in foreign currency, having a card that doesn't add an extra fee for your purchases can help you save a lot of money.

Automatic reviews for credit line increases
Capital One will automatically review your credit score to periodically consider you for credit line increases, which could raise your credit score. Having more credit available can lower your utilization rate, as long as keep your spending within reason.
The utilization ratio makes up 30% of your FICO score and 20% of your Vantage Score, so keeping that ratio low can make a significant impact on your credit score.
You can also sign up for CreditWise, a free tool available to both cardholders and non-cardholders. CreditWise offers access to your credit score with tips on how to improve it over time, plus monitors your credit reports for new inquiries and noteworthy changes.

Fraud protection
The Capital One QuicksilverOne comes with fraud protection benefits, including $0 fraud liability for unauthorized purchases made when your card is lost or stolen. You'll receive security alerts if Capital One suspects any fraudulent transactions on your credit card account. You can also create virtual card numbers to keep your actual card number safe when shopping online, and you can lock your card on the Capital One mobile app if its ever lost, stolen, or misplaced.
Capital One QuicksilverOne Welcome Offer and Earning Rates
You won't find a traditional welcome offer on the Capital One QuicksilverOne. That means there's no lump sum of extra cash back after completing an introductory spending requirement.
The Capital One QuicksilverOne earns 1.5% cash back on every purchase. You'll also earn 5% cash back on hotels and rental cars booked with Capital One Travel. Ticket purchases on Capital One Entertainment earn 5% cash back through December 31, 2025.
There's no limit to how much cash back you can earn or restrictions on specific categories, such as groceries or dining. Additionally, your cash back never expires as long as your account is open.

The positive to this simplified earning structure is that you've got a great credit card for everyday spending. The downside is that other credit cards offer bonus categories in which you could earn at a higher rate, such as at supermarkets or drugstores.

Redeeming Rewards With the Capital One QuicksilverOne
You can redeem your rewards earned on the Capital One QuicksilverOne as cash, to cover recent purchases, or as gift cards. Cash redemptions can be received as a statement credit or a check in the mail. Statement credits will lower your account balance but don't count toward any minimum payment due. Gift card redemption rates may vary.

Convert cash back to miles
Some cardholders have the ability to convert cash back to miles and can then transfer those miles to airline and hotel partners. In order to do so, you need a miles-earning Capital One card — such as the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card. Converting your cash back to miles is a great way to get increased value from your rewards since Capital One has some excellent transfer partners.
The Capital One QuicksilverOne may be your only card if you're building or rebuilding your credit, however, if you apply for other Capital One cards in the future, the ability to convert your cash back may come in handy.
Application Restrictions
Even though this card only requires a Fair credit rating, it's important to know about Capital One's application restrictions before applying.
Capital One’s official stance is that there’s no set limit to the number of cards you can have from them. However, in our Award Travel 101 Facebook group, a member reported that a Capital One banker confirmed that a person can have a maximum of five Capital One cards. The banker specified that two Venture-branded cards, one Quicksilver-branded card, one Savor-branded card, and one charge card are allowed.
Business credit cards from Capital One are not included in the number of personal cards you can have simultaneously, and they may also report to your personal credit report.
Capital One will likely pull your credit score from all three credit bureaus. You can access your credit reports for free each week at AnnualCreditReport.com to see what they look like before applying.
And finally, you won't be approved for more than one Capital One card every six months — either personal or business. The terms also state that you're ineligible to get this card if you've applied for two or more Capital One credit cards in the past 30 days.
