If you’re a business owner with the capacity to spend a sizable amount of money, the Capital One Venture X Business is currently offering a record-setting welcome bonus you won’t want to ignore. New applicants can earn up to 350,000 bonus Capital One miles — but only after spending a whopping $200,000 in the first six months.
This limited-time offer ends June 9—if your business can meet the spend, now’s the time to act.
It’s a massive two-tiered offer with equally massive rewards — and we’re here to walk you through how it works and why the Venture X Business might be worth adding to your wallet.
- 10X miles per $1 on hotels and rental cars booked via Capital One Travel
- 5X miles per $1 on purchases through Capital One Entertainment (through 12/31/2025)
- 5X miles per $1 on flights booked via Capital One Travel
- 5X miles per $1 on vacation rentals booked via Capital One Travel
- 2X miles per $1 on other eligible purchases
How to Earn up to 350k Bonus Miles With the Venture X Business
The Venture X Business‘s welcome offer is nothing short of massive — but it’s also two-tiered. Here’s a breakdown of how much you’ll need to spend to earn each bonus:
- Earn 150,000 miles after spending $30,000 within the first 3 months.
- Earn 200,000 miles after spending $200,000 within the first 6 months.
To unlock the full 350,000-mile bonus, you’ll need to spend $200,000 in the first 6 months. But just because there are two tiers doesn’t mean you have to hit both thresholds. You can still earn the first bonus with a lower spend.

What are 350,000 Capital One miles worth?
350,000 bonus Capital One miles are worth a ton. If you can earn the Venture X Business’s full bonus, you can expect to redeem those bonus miles for around $7,000 in value. That's based on the average redemption rate AwardWallet users have gotten when redeeming Capital One miles: 2.01¢ each.
Plus, you’ll also earn at least 2 miles per dollar on every purchase. If you spend the full $200,000 within the first 6 months, that’s a minimum of 400,000 extra miles that you'll collect on top of the welcome bonus. That's a total of at least 750,000 miles — worth $7,500 when redeemed for travel purchases or over $15k through Capital One transfer partners.

What Can You Do With Capital One Miles?
There are plenty of ways to use the massive haul of Capital One miles you’ll earn with the Venture X Business. But the most valuable option is transferring them to Capital One’s 19 airline and hotel partners to book award travel.
Some of the best transfer partners include Air Canada Aeroplan, British Airways Club, Choice Privileges, and Wyndham Rewards. It goes without saying that this card's welcome bonus can fund a lot of award travel if used strategically.

Alternatively, you can also redeem your miles as a statement credit toward recent travel purchases at a rate of 1 cent per mile.
Another option is using your miles to book travel through the Capital One Travel portal, where they’re also worth 1¢ each — but we don’t recommend this. Since Capital One offers bonus miles (like 10x on hotels and rental cars, or 5x on flights) when paying with your card in the portal, you’ll come out ahead by paying with the card, earning the bonus miles, and then using your miles to cover the charge afterward.
And there are other redemption options, but they’re generally not worth it. These include using miles to pay with PayPal or Amazon, redeeming for gift cards, or simply cashing out. Most of these will give you just 0.8¢ per mile — and cashing out drops the value even further to just 0.5¢ per mile.
It's also worth mentioning that Capital One miles don't expire as long as your account is open. You can focus on earning and redeeming them at pleasure without worrying about losing any miles along the way.
Who's Eligible for the Venture X Business Sign-Up Bonus?
As with all credit card issuers, Capital One has a few rules you'll need to follow.
First, you can only be approved for one Capital One card every six months. Second, the issuer is known to be sensitive to the number of new accounts and credit inquiries it sees on your credit report. High numbers here could lead to a denial, even if you have a good credit score.
Lastly, you'll see these terms on the application page:
“Existing or previous cardmembers are not eligible for this product if they have received a new cardmember bonus for this product in the past 48 months.”
For most Venture X Business applicants, this shouldn't be an issue. However, it's worth noting that you can't earn the bonus more than once per 48-month period.
And while many Capital One credit cards report to your personal credit report, a spokesperson for Capital One confirmed that this card will not report to your personal credit report so long as your account is in good standing.

Our Take
If you are a small business owner and have the spending capacity, the welcome offer on the Venture X Business could provide thousands of dollars in value. Admittedly, this may be out of reach for a fair number of businesses.
That said, the card offers numerous ongoing perks that more than justify its annual fee. These include insurance protections, a great return on everyday spending, lounge access, bonus miles, and an annual travel credit. And if the spending threshold is attainable for your business, you'll have thousands of dollars in added value, thanks to the miles available in this huge welcome bonus.
