Update: Radisson Rewards significantly devalued its hotel points on October 16, 2022 — right after the end of its last buy points promotion. The redemption rates in the post below are no longer valid. At this point, we do not recommend buying Radisson Rewards points under any circumstances.
This promotion has ended; please review current/active promotions.
Radisson Rewards members get a 50% bonus when they buy Radisson points now through October 14, 2022. By maximizing this promotion, you can buy enough points to book an overwater villa in the Maldives for just $350 — plus other great redemptions. Here's how.
You can buy Radisson Rewards points at just 0.47 cents per point. This falls short of the best deal we've seen to buy Radisson points, but it can still be a great deal for the right redemption. Let's take a critical look.
Buy Radisson Points Key Terms
- Promotion is valid on purchases through October 14, 2022
- Minimum purchase is 1,000 points
- Buy in increments of 1,000 points
- Minimum purchase to receive a bonus is 3,000 points
- Receive a 50% bonus on the purchase of at least 3,000 points
- You can purchase a maximum of 80,000 points per year — before the 50% bonus
- Points should post to your account within 24 hours
- The points sale is through the Radisson Rewards Americas program
- You can transfer points 1:1 to the Radisson Rewards Worldwide program if making redemptions there (more info here)
The terms and conditions say points will be deposited within 24 hours of purchase. However, data points from AwardWallet users show that points purchases are processed within 24 minutes on average.
If you buy the maximum number of points, you'll get a total of 120,000 points (80,000 purchased plus a 40,000 bonus) for a total cost of $560. This works out to 0.467 cents per point.
Buy Radisson Points to Book a Maldives Overwater Villa for $350
How good is this 0.47 cents per point purchase rate? Well, you can book an overwater villa in the Maldives for just $350 per night by buying Radisson points at this rate. The Radisson Blu Resort Maldives resort only costs 75,000 points per night.
And that doesn't just get you any room. You can book an overwater villa with a private pool at this redemption rate. Even better, the rewards redemption includes breakfast.
During this buy Radisson points promotion, you can buy exactly 75,000 points for $350.
However, it critically doesn't include a transfer to and from the resort. And that $450 per person seaplane transfer fee can really add up! But you're saving a lot of money by booking on points, rather than paying cash.
Due to the purchase limit, you can only buy enough points for two award nights. If you team up with a spouse or a friend, you could each redeem two nights in this manner.
The Official Hotel of London Fashion Week for $200 Off
Looking for another niche redemption? Buy enough Radisson points (and book early!) to stay at the official hotel of London Fashion Week for just $350 per night. In a city with notoriously expensive hotels, you can't get a much cooler redemption than The May Fair, A Radisson Collection Hotel.
While $350 per night might sound like a lot, you're saving $100 a night against the cash rate.
Save $100+ Per Night at Niagara Falls
Peak pricing rates during the summer can cost over $200 per night at the Radisson Hotel Niagara Falls-Grand Island. However, as a Category 1 property, you need just 15,000 points per night to stay here. How does a savings of $130+ per night sound during the Fourth of July Weekend?! Buy your needed points for just $70 per night.
Maximize Your Purchase
Radisson sells points via Points.com, so your purchase won't code as a hotel or travel payment. Consider using one of these cards for your purchase:
- Any credit card where you're working on a sign-up bonus. These are the best welcome offers available right now.
- Any credit card with perks you can unlock from spending, such as hotel free night awards, hotel elite status, or airline elite status.
- Your best credit card for everyday spending, such as the Citi® Double Cash Card or Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card.

Final Thoughts
We at AwardWallet never recommend buying points or miles speculatively. However, the example of buying Radisson Rewards points to get an overwater villa in the Maldives for just $350 per night is a perfect example of how buy points promotions can make a lot of sense. The savings against summer / holiday peak pricing at Niagara Falls is another time where choosing to buy points represents a cost savings with Radisson.
While these may be extreme examples, there are plenty of other ways to maximize this buy points promotion. If you are looking to boost your balance for a specific redemption, this promotion is a good opportunity.

Thanks. This has been fixed.
What European capital is that seaplane departing from? $450.00 per person is a little uppity.
But I guess with that income the pilots are not concerned with miles and points?
Interesting
Can I use this point at UK?
Nicely good for me, preparing to go to London for Xmas – Radisson Blu Victoria is my preferred hotel and I only hope I’ll can travel
0.35 cents for Radisson Hotel Points is an excellent offer, what a big deal
I’d suggest getting their credit card before buying points, assuming one doesn’t already have it. The annual bonus of 40K points, on top of the SUB, is much more cost-effective.
Don’t really like to buy points at all. Earn only.
Can’t imaging Radisson Hotel Niagara Falls-Grand Island is only a category 1 hotel. Definitely a sweet spot too good to pass.
That is an amazing deal. I wish I saw this before the deadline though. Currently the price is $492/night which still does not seem bad for what you are getting. Hopefully the points buying offer for this hotel happens again. I’ll be watching out for it.
This place sure does look amazing. while I’m not traveling for pleasure yet, I have this on my bucket list. this is an interesting way to achieve this, someday.
We are still under travel restrictions at the moment. How flexible are these bookings? Especially if we need to cancel because of the pandemic?
In the example I highlighted in the post, there’s free cancellation more than 2 weeks in advance. That’s not great, but at least you have some flexibility. The bigger “issue” is that you’ll only get refunded in points. So, you’ll still be out the cash you paid for the points.
Interesting deal….Radisson has some solid properties in Europe as well that may make this worth a speculative purchase if you’re planning on heading back to the Continent once all the travel restrictions ease.
wow, great opportunity! I wish I could go, I hope we could travel again as pre-covid!!
Would a Marriott Gold member receive complimentary breakfast here?
Por ese precio si que es una buena opción a tener en cuenta el alquilar un villa de lujo como estas en las Maldivas. Gran oferta
How far out can you get the 70,000 point bonus? I would love to take a trip here once the pandemic is over. I’m a bit hesitant to purchase points if there is a chance the trip would get cancelled, though.
This does look like an incredible deal! I had somehow totally missed the fact there are Radisson properties in Maldives! Some good use for all those points some day in the future 🙂
Great option for travel to the Maldives! This place is usually very expensive. In this opportunity we can travel for an acceptable price. Whit this pandemic restricts the food service is permitted as usually?
The recent reviews of the property make it seem that food service is still available and even flexible. But, it can’t hurt to reach out to the property to confirm before you book.
“However, availability is currently tough to find.” Hmm, are they restricting availability or are lots of people traveling to the Maldives in this environment to get away from it all?
Does anyone know how good the property is ? How does it compare to the Hilton and Marriott properties ?
For $245 I would consider this when I normally never stay at hotels!
Very good offer.
Especially for the resort mentioned in the article.
Maybe there are other good opportunites in other places.
I’ve always dreamed of bringing my wife to an over-the-water bungalow like this, whether it be in the Maldives, Bali, Tahiti, or anywhere. Travel restrictions have made that even further down the line.
Wow, this looks like an amazing deal! Do similar offers/promos occur often? I’m hesitant to travel during the pandemic but hope to be able to jump on a deal like this in the future.
Even though, I still think this isn’t a good time to travel, I believe this is a great opportunity. I was reviewing the Resort and it’s just amazing. It’s worth the risk. A change of environment is very beneficial to temporary scape from this madness
What’s the best way to check availability for these rooms? I can’t find a way other than trying different combinations of specific check in and check out dates. I’m hoping there’s a more efficient way to do this….
Thx, Matt
Unfortunately, that’s what Radisson is making us resort to in order to find availability. It’s not very user friendly!
Any deals on Bali? I am really wanting to go there.
This is a n outsized reward for points. However all hotels in Maldives are very expensive and the meals you take there are also expensive.
And it’s a long way to go!
Such a pity the deadline has now passed, it was such a great promotion!
I’ve already booked a hotel in French Polynesia, wish they do the same in FP.
This is a great deal. I hope I can go there once in my life.
Compared to how much overwater bungalows normally cost this is amazing – my wife and I wish we could have done this for our honeymoon!
Beautiful venue + attractive deal…if I weren’t refraining from non-essential travel during the pandemic.
Thanks for sharing. It’s a solid offer no doubt. I agree they should extend the expiration beyond December 20,
Wow, the Radisson Group even has properties in exotic destinations!
@Charles – Yes, Radisson does have a handful of true aspirational properties. When visiting the Maldives, I dearly love the Conrad, but this new Radisson is definitely on my list to visit very soon.
I really want to go there…
I would love to go to the Maldives. However I will not be buying any Radisson points at this time. Staying close to home until there’s a vaccine for COVID-19.
How nice to know there is a Radisson with overwater villas in the Maldives! I have a new contract which a Radisson will be a convenient hotel so I won’t be buying any points at this time, but hopefully they will have more promotions like this for the future.
Great tips! Wish I could do all in on this but not looking to travel but this is tempting.
I’ve been looking for a good deal and this promotion is a good opportunity. I’ll be looking into this one a lot more. Thank you
This is a great deal but buying points in hopes of doing this makes me nervous…will have to think about this deal though because it is awesome…
Maldives! It´s my dream! I wish can do.
One of the better, lesser known programs. Have had some great redemptions in Europe.
Great tips for stacking points & offers!
Sería buenisimo
