Club Carlson is only matching up to Gold as the highest level, not Concierge which includes free continental breakfast for one, however the status comes with valuable perks and increased points earning capacity.
Although Club Carlson might not be your favorite loyalty program and their family of hotels may not line up with your regular travel plans they do have both a significant presence in both the U.S. and internationally. An elite status match gives you the opportunity for free room upgrades, discounts on food and beverage purchases and flexible check-in/check-out times in any of their more than 1,370 global hotels.
Although Club Carlson is not asking for points statements or proof of recent account activity on the elite status being matched, they are also not listing exactly which hotel status they will match, so this will be at their discretion.
If you see yourself possibly staying in a Club Carlson property within the next year and you have elite status with another program you should consider investing the 5 to 10 minutes it would take to complete the request process. Some level of elite status is always better than none!
