Not even a month after inking an exclusive partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Hilton has partnered with another niche hospitality company: AutoCamp. In short order, you'll be able to earn and burn Hilton Honors points on stays in Airstreams, luxury tents, and boutique cabins.

Here's what you need to know about Hilton's foray into the “glamping” industry.

Hilton Partners With AutoCamp

You can soon go glamping and earn Hilton Honors points in the process. Or, you can redeem Hilton Honors points to go glamping. Either way, this is an interesting development, as Hilton partnering with AutoCamp — a luxe outdoor hospitality company — is one we didn't have on our 2024 bingo card.

For the uninformed, “glamping” is the intersection between “glamour” and “camping.” Instead of roughing it in the woods, think luxury tents, decked-out Airstream trailers, and modern cabins. And yes, showers and air conditioning.

AutoCamp has a small footprint, localized to iconic destinations in the U.S. like Cape Cod, Zion and Yosemite National Parks, and Catskills, New York. At each location, you'll find the brand's “design-forward” Airstreams and signature experiences.

So, if you want to get outdoors without really getting outdoors, this is an interesting way to do just that.

Plus, as part of the Hilton–AutoCamp tie-up, you can earn Hilton Honors points on AutoCamp stays and redeem points for future stays. In the press release announcing the partnership, Hilton didn't clarify when AutoCamp stays will be bookable through Hilton channels or the earning/redemption rates — just stating that it would share more “in the coming months.”

Prices for nights in an Airstream, cabin, or luxury tent vary depending on the destination, the time of year you book, and the amenities you're after. But with an average price between $200 and $300 per night, you'll likely earn a boatload of points on your stay. However, that also probably means that redemption rates will be sky-high.

We'll check back once the partnership goes live to see how the numbers shake out.

Final Thoughts

Hilton inked another partnership, this time with AutoCamp. Later this year, you'll be able to earn and redeem Hilton Honors points for stays in Airstream trailers and luxury tents while enjoying s'mores by a campfire. Honestly, what could be better than that?
