This Hilton Points Purchase promotion has ended, however, you can still purchase Hilton points.

Hilton has launched a promotion where you'll receive a 100% bonus in points when you purchase at least 5,000 points through June 7, 2018.

Buy Hilton Points 100 Percent Bonus 5000 Points and More

Key Terms

  • The promo is valid through 11:59 PM ET June 7, 2018
  • Minimum purchase of 5,000 points to receive a 100% bonus
  • You can purchase a maximum of 80,000 points per calendar year
  • Points will post to your account within 24 hours
  • Prices include all taxes and fees

Remember that Hilton points purchases are processed by Points.com, so there is no room to maximize your earnings through credit card category bonuses. Your best option is to use an everyday spending card.

Is It Worth It?

If you max out the promo you will pick up 160,000 points for $800, which works out at half a cent a point–a fair price for Hilton Honors points. If you’re a budget savvy traveler 160,000 points can get you a pile of nights at Hilton properties worldwide.

If you are more interested in redemptions at premium properties, then 160,000 points can still give you 2 to 4 nights at a high-end property depending on the time of your stay. Remember, you can stretch the value of your points even further if you hold elite status with Hilton Honors, since you can use the 5th night free on redemptions perk.

Hilton Honors points purchases are processed by Points.com, which eliminates the chance of maximizing your earnings through credit card category bonus spend.

The easiest way to achieve status with Hilton Honors is via credit card enrollment, with both The Platinum Card® from American Express, and the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card providing complimentary Gold status with Hilton, while the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card provides complimentary Diamond status.

Our Take

Buying Hilton points for half a cent a piece is tempting. While speculatively buying points is not to be recommended, if you are a regular at Hilton properties, then this promo can deliver some great value if you're looking to cash them in. It is worth a few minutes reviewing any upcoming trips you may have and giving it a second thought crunching some numbers before acting or not acting on this promotion.

  • Hard to get more than 0.5 cents of value these days, but at least buying points gets you into fifth night free territory for more hotels.

  • Jacqueline says:

I’m seeing some good value on higher end rooms like the Maldives towards cash prices.

  • Always tempted to buy these!

  • Not terrible. Could top off for upcoming trip. Merci.

  • As much as I like Hilton properties for award night, I’ve never purchased Hilton points. Although I will say, these periodic 100% bonuses are the times I am tempted.

  • I have bought at this price in the past and got back Good Value on my stays

  • Awesome, I’ve been waiting for this promotion.
    Thanks for the post!

  • 100% bonus is an attractive offer, and you can earn more points when using a HHonors credit card to make the purchase.

  • Just got home from Conrad Maldives and points are amazing value, especially with 5th night free. Even got upgraded as diamond.

  • I’m always tempted by such hotel offers, but usually when they come down the pike I find in the end I prefer to hang on to my cash.

  • Nechy Kay says:

That’s really cool! I wanted to book a few hotel rooms on hilton points and am missing around 6000 points! This 100% bonus makes it really exciting!
    Thank you!

  • 160,000 for $800 = 40,000 for $200 which is more expensive in some cases than just reserving the room. Your mileage may vary…

  • Haven’t seen anything lower than this recently.

  • I bought some Hilton points last year to top off for an award redemption. I have no definite plans at this time so I am a maybe on this promotion.

  • Love seeing this promotion! Great way to top up your account for a specific reward redemption.

  • I still don’t think that Hilton points are worth it to purchase outside of a few specific redemptions because of their low value compared to other hotel mileage programs

  • This is a good offer, and the best you are going to get from Hilton, and a couple of years ago I would have jumped at this. The problem is now though that seldom now can I find a redemption for somewhere I want to go that I could get value from.

  • manangel says:

I remember Daily Getaway also sold Hilton points at 0.5, is that right?

  • This gets a bit better if you use a cashback site buying this points.

  • charles j says:

Thanks. I have to think about this, because it certainly can be a good value for a bunch of nights at the lower point hotels I’d look for.

  • The_Bouncer says:

The real value is in the lower point properties. My latest redemption was 5 nights at the Hampton Inn Mexico City for 80k. The cash rate would have totalled around $750. It was also property I particularly wanted because they offer smoking rooms.

  • It’s tough to beat a 100% bonus. May have to look into it to top off for a summer redemption.

  • Sebastian says:

Which Cashback Site would you advise using?

    • Look at Cashbackmonitor.com or Cashbackholic.com to figure out which pays the best rates. However, not being in the US will likely exclude you from any of the additional perks.

  • awesome deal for those looking to top off Hilton points for a stay

  • Pretty good deal. Good only for topping off points or for a fifth night free stay.

  • Maryjane says:

That’s a great idea to use a cashback site to buy the points. Any suggestions on which ones work? It does take some cipherin but the use of a cashback site and a card that gives cashback might really give this some value. My final question is: does Hilton count award nights towards earning elite status? Thanks? An article about which hotel programs do count award nights towards elite status might be interesting. In those cases, buying points for inexpensive award stays might really be useful in an overall strategy.

  • Beppoello81 says:

Topcashback is the one I use.

  • This offer has become very common. Several times during one year.
I would buy only when there is an immediate use of the points.

  • @Yo says: “This gets a bit better if you use a cashback site buying this points.”

Indeed. Always the first place to check when spending any money online anywhere.

  • Indeed, EVERYTHING must work… topping off for the x night free stay + 100% point purchase bonus + credit card points / cash back / etc. +…
