If you're short the United MileagePlus miles necessary to book your next trip, there's a new sale on United miles that can help you restock your account. Through August 20, MileagePlus members can purchase miles with up to a 100% bonus or up to a 50% discount. Either way, this targeted promotion drops the effective purchase rate to as low as 1.88¢ per mile. But there's a catch.
