This Hilton Points Purchase promotion has ended, however, you can still purchase Hilton points.
Hilton is running a promotion that will let you buy points with a 50% discount, which means you can pick up points for half a cent a piece. This is not as generous as the recent promotion giving you a 100% bonus on purchasing points, even though the price per point is the same, as you are restricted to purchasing 80,000 points per year.
With the purchase promotion, you could purchase 80,000 points at the normal price and receive another 80,000 points bonus for a total of 160,000 points, while with this promotion, you can only purchase 80,000 points for the price of 40,000 points.
- Offer valid through October 5, 2017
- Minimum purchase of 5,000 points needed to trigger the bonus
- Purchase price includes taxes and charges
Maximizing The Offer
If you have some Hilton stays coming up, then this is a timely promotion, since standard points awards at high-end Hilton properties can work out significantly cheaper than paying cash. You can even push the value of your redemption and points further if you hold Silver, Gold, or Diamond Status with Hilton Honors. All three benefit from the 5th-night free perk on award redemptions. If you don’t have Status, the following cards will give you Hilton Honors Status:
- The Platinum Card® from American Express – Complimentary Gold status (Terms Apply)
- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express – Complimentary Gold status (Terms Apply)
While it is generally not recommended to buy points speculatively, this time may be a little different, especially if you have some Hilton stays coming up. Although you can only buy 80,000 points, remember you can pool Hilton points from multiple accounts. So if you need tons of points to take advantage of the offer you can make the purchases from different accounts and pool them all together.
